No its not ex. If the Mavs win, the Suns will still only be a half game back of the Grizzlies, which is likely to turn into a game back after the Grizz play the Lakers tomorrow night. It would be very difficult for them to catch the Mavs, but they wouldn't be out. If the Suns win they'll move into the 7 spot above the Mavs and Grizzlies and the Mavs and Grizzlies will move into a tie. The Suns and Grizzlies still have to play on Monday night and the Mavs and Grizzlies play on the last night of the season.

There were some things that could have happened earlier this week, like the Heat beating the Grizzlies, that would have made this game tonight even more important, but as it stands, its not the end of the world for either team to lose tonight.

I still think Chicago is a threat, I'm interested to hear what those have to say who disagreed with me when I said this a week ago

At the end of the day I don't think it's a cake walk, but MIA get to the Finals for the 4th year in a row. Pacers IMO still has the best chance, but they really look lost lately.

Spurs were 4-0 against the Grizzlies
Spurs were 4-0 against the Warriors
Spurs were 0-4 against the Thunder
Spurs are 0-3 against the Rockets, one game left (which is meaningless)
Spurs were 2-2 against the Blazers
Spurs were 2-1 against the Clippers

I was going to do more teams but I got lazy
Yeah I don't think there's many teams that could cause the Spurs many problems in the playoffs. They will easily win their first round matchup, whether its the Grizzlies, Suns or Mavs. The only teams I could see giving them a lot of trouble are the Clippers and the Thunder. The Rockets could force a long series, but I don't see them being able to pull off a series victory, same with the Blazers.

Of course I believe the Bulls are a 'threat,' but I would also include Brooklyn. Can't discount a team coming in hot like they are. Pacers are mucho doneo

You right, both the Grizz and Suns have easy games (Lakers and Kings).

In my view the Pacers are still a legit threat and the biggest threat to Miami in the East. I could see the Bulls forcing 7 games too.

You are right about this for the Mavs though. It basically is a play in game because of the way their tiebreakers would end up. But even if they do win, if the Grizzlies were to win out that might put the Mavs out.

Let's say everyone wins out, who all holds tiebreakers?

Oh gosh, so they all have the same record. Well Dallas would be in because of their tiebreaker against the Grizzlies. So it would come down to the Suns and Grizzlies I believe, and the Grizzlies would get in regardless because even if the Suns beat them on Monday, they already lost the other 2 they played this year.

Damn I'd rather have the Suns than the Grizzlies

I see them handling Brooklyn convincingly in the playoffs.
4-2 Miami wins with 1 blowout(meaning win by 20+ discounting garbage time points).

This time last year they were blown out in all 3 meetings against Miami so this year they've proven they can remain competitive with them.

You watch Brooklyn play much this year, Ex? Not including those Heat games.

Yeah I've watched them this season the only thing is it seems like their lineups have changed often, is this correct. When the playoffs hit I'm sure it'll be even more different if and when KG can play.

                              Pretty much.

5-6 mins into the game, KG is subbed out and then brought back midway thru the 2nd. I'd imagine that will change since Kidd's goal from the beginning was to limit his minutes that way he's "fresh for the playoffs". Not sure if he'll keep any more restrictions on him once the postseason starts.

The Brooklyn/Toronto series should be fun. Honestly as much as I diss the East it'll be a fun first round sans Miami.
