To be fair about situations like that...It's ironically the medias fault things like that happen(I say ironically cause the media also questions why it happens even though they're the problem). People might not care that much about a team, or they might not like them abit, but the media constantly talking about them all the time is what drives people crazy and gives them more reasons to hate that team cause they're always in the spotlight, and it seems like bottom tier guys on their teams get talked about more than main guys on many other teams.

It's the same with Yankees in MLB, Leafs in NHL(I know that one for a fact, hockey fans all over hate Leafs), and Cowboys in NFL(at least I believe it's Cowboys in NFL isn't it?)

That should be your answer right there.

If people think I have a vendetta about the Heat, I rooted for them in the '06 Finals. That was before Wade went mega-douche on everyone.

I just want the playoffs to be officiated the same way they do during the regular season. If that makes me whatever.....then cool.

For the record, I ain't mad at anyone and I'm just having some fun with BringTheHeat. But I had to point out his blatant hypocrisy. I mean, I couldn't not say something.
It's all in good fun, I don't not like anyone here man. But if you're allowed to complain about stars getting calls, Michael Jordan did, then I'm allowed to complain about Durant and Harden getting calls.

You sure like to harp on those two getting calls moreso than others.

I do however see what folks were saying about Paul Pierce when he was in Boston. That dude gets a lot of questionable calls to go his way I've noticed this year and you notice more when he's on your team.

            As do people with LeBron.

I hate Durant because he's this untouchable godly player that can do no wrong. Where's the ring jokes for him?

Maybe it's just being in Oklahoma, listening to the casual fans talk about how good he is.

Any non-Rocket fans that live in Houston? or Non-Heat fans in Miami? How do the home state fans act towards the players?

There are bad fans of any team or any player.. I sat next to some "Heat fans" at the game the other night and I'm pretty sure the only two players they cared about were LeBron and ZBo.. They didn't even know Norris Cole's name and kept questioning why Bosh was shooting jumpers. People like that are who make the Heat fan base look bad, and I'm sure for you BTH you get lots of the same coming from clueless Thunder fans living there in OKC.

My whole life I've been surrounded by the horrible Laker (really just Kobe) fans and it is really annoying. That and the slightly older fans, people around my age, who think Michael Jordan is basketball and nothing great happened before him or since him. And living in Arkansas there is a lot of those older country guys, "hicks" if you want to call it that, who all basically think Larry Bird is the greatest thing to ever touch a basketball.. So I'm surrounded by it all man..

BTH is not a Durant fan. At least you're straight forward with it.

I agree Pack, you do notice that stuff...

Because you live in Oklahoma so you're exposed to it more. That's all really.

And I'm pretty sure it's the same way when you listen to "casual" fans talk about Lebron or the Heat in general. That's probably what ThreeKing meant when he made that post earlier. You harp on Durant/Harden getting all these cheap calls when you got 2 exact players on the team you root for that are known for getting the same type of treatment as well. You can't fault people for seeing the slight hypocrisy there, lol.

It wasn't that long ago when D-Wade would use his patented pump fake and lean into the defender and earn two shots even while the defender would literally stand straight up. That is/was just as bad as Harden/Durant's head bob.

Oh and no Shaun Livingston tonight against Atlanta.

Pretty sure Kidd will start resting folks as we get closer towards the postseason.

                      4/8 - 4/16 Games Discussion Thread

What's annoying about the Durant/Harden free throw situation, is that when Durant drives and their is slight contact he jumps off one leg takes the awkward shot/runner and he gets the foul call.. When Harden drives and their is slight contact he leans towards the defender and throws his beard up to the sky and he gets the foul call. Nobody says much, nobody complains.. If LeBron drives and someone is riding him he keeps his shoulder down and be plays through it.. Contact usually lasts twice as long or multiple bumps, no foul is called, yet everyone on social media, some people here, any anti-Heat or anti-LeBron fan all want to bitch/complain that "LeBron is just lowering his shoulder, that's an offensive foul"... That's what's annoying.. That on top of plays at the rim where wing players like LeBron and Melo don't get the same calls because they are bigger and can finish through the contact.

The Durant free throw situation wouldn't be that big of a deal, because he has the ball a lot, he shoots a lot, he's good at selling calls, he's going to get lots of calls and free throws.. That's how it works. What's annoying is that any night he isn't having a good night shooting he'll just so happen to get 18 or 19 free throws that game.. That's what's ridiculous.. That's why I've complained about it a few times this season.

You look at Durant's average, I'm assuming it's still around 10? And yeah that's pretty high for a scorer who gets 60-70% of his shots outside of 10 feet from the basket.. But a lot of games he's around that 6 to 8 FAT range which isn't all THAT high for someone who has the ball as much as he does.. But that 10 attempts a game number is from what should be that 6-8 average being bumped up by the multiple upper teen free throw attempt games he's had this year.. That's my main gripe towards Durant and his free throws.

                      - also, not really in BTH's defense but more so just understanding where he's coming from, it's annoying to see these guys sell calls game in and game out.. Yet LeBron will just try to play through them, and after 3 or 4 drives where no foul was called but should have been he does sell a call and gets it, this place along with others will start the LeBron is a flopper, LeBron gets every call, Heat get every call.

It's not just LeBron, I mentioned Melo.. But even like Westbrook and Rose, those guys a lot of times don't get the contact calls because they try to finish the play.. And while it's not really a "flop" the Durant/Harden calls are from them greatly over selling very little amounts of contact..

It's not really a complaint about them coming from me, more so the refs.. And I don't think it's necessarily "super star" calls, I just think they need to do a better job of watching the defenders contact rather than the offensive players reaction.. In reality it should be LeBron and someone like Rose or always up there in free throws attempts rather than Durant and Harden..

What a year for him though.. I know he won't get any consideration at all for MIP but I think he's up there with anyone else who's deserving.

You all made good points, and I don't wanna derail this thread any more.

I'll try and get better about the blatant bias and hate. I need to anyway, because these two will be a great rivalry over the next 5 years or so.

Ready for the Pacers game tonight, hopefully we can pull out the W and get that first seed.

                            Nah man don't do that.

We need a new Kash replacement since he's not posting here as much.

As for the game, I figured ESPN would get dibs on that instead of NBATV, especially with it possibly being the last time they meet this year.
