Re: Timberwolves vs Kings : Round 2

Looks like the Wolves may pull it out. They're in the midst of a 13-0 run to perhaps salvage this game. But I don't see the trend changing. Inexplicably, the Kings went one on one, with Christie and Petja dribbling around on two crucial possessions as clock ran down, instead of staying with their off the ball motion which had put them ahead.

Cassell is a tough offensive player but he doesn't have nearly the same freedom Bibby has because Christie can shut down a big part of his game, which is to back down other PGs and shoot short fadeaways over them. But the rest of the Wolves are really lacking. Sprewell has to show more consistency and aggressiveness going to the hole but he doesn't seem to finish like he used to. Hoiberg is a one-dimensional player, who when run at on the 3 isn't a threat to slash. The Wolves big men other than KG are useless, not enough of an offensive threat to prevent the double-teaming of Garnett. Wolves really miss Wally, who at least would go to the hole if the outside shot wasn't there, and Hudson, who was hot last year from the outside as well as really effective with the pick and roll. Otherwise, a big dropoff when Cassell is not in the game. In other words, not enough Wolves who could hurt the Kings for doubling KG.

Don't be surprised if the Kings hit 100 easily in both games 3 and 4. Can the Wolves keep up with them?

OMG! Chrisie? Miller? For 3? What the effin hell was that? And one board we couldn't even get. The tying shot should have gone to Bibby or Peja! Also, that 16-1 run shouldn't have happened. What the heck happened to the defense all of a sudden? They were defending pretty okay then after that timeout, they decided the game was over.

[censored]! We'll get them in 3/4. Or both.

                              Great job Wolves!!!!

I was worried about them for a while. They held their composure and regained the lead in the end. Hopefully, this will spark the Wolves again and they can win 1 or two in Arco to regain homecourt advantage.

                              Great win tonight though.
