Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
Finally after a long off season, Basketball season is underway.
I think the media jumping on the Pacers as they had a rough March makes people think they are done. I don't agree with that. This team still is the #1 seed, and still has only lost 6 games at home all year. Im sick of the whole "who is the best team since January 1st" thing that sports radio has been going on about since Mid-March. Teams get hot, teams get cold, so on and so forth.Comment

I get that I was just wondering if there was another reason other than the obvious.
Anyway the standings could not have worked out better for Chicago. Play Washington instead of Brooklyn. Then if they win that play Indy instead of Miami.

OP has been updated with the playoff schedule.
And as usual, it's still jacked up as it's going to take a week just to get thru 3 games in the Raptors-Nets series. Ridiculous SMH.#RespectTheCultureComment

The league won't allow the Raptors to spoil a Heat/Nets 2nd round.Comment

You must have not seen any of the games from the regular season. Wall against Augustin/Hinrich/Jimmer(LOL) was not pretty. They smoked us the last game but we're finally at full strength with Nene back, Beal's leg not ailing, and Ariza fully recovered from the flu. Experience obviously favors the Bulls but my Wiz are a tough matchup against anyone in the east with our speed, size, and 3pt shooting. We just have to keep the TO's in check.Comment

I don't put that much stock into the regular season man. The difference is, Thibbs will have an abundance of time to gameplan. If Wall manages to look good against Thibbs in a playoff series I would think quite highly of his future. For now Wall is sort of on the border to me in terms of his ceiling.
This series has the best chance of all 1st rd matchups to go a full 7 games whereas with the Nets/Bulls anybody who paid attention to those teams over the course of the season knew that series had no business going 7 games.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 04-17-2014, 11:19 AM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Eastern Conference Playoffs -1st Round Discussion Thread
My only concern with Chicago is their Offense because where is it going to come from? Washington defensively has also been solid as well and the talent gap between the two is pretty close. Chicago has the huge advantage coaching wise but we've seen with some teams in the 1st round, it usually doesn't make much of a difference especially if you have the talent.

I think a underrated aspect of the playoffs is that the teams\players known for 'out hustling' you tend to fade a little but because everyone is out there playing as hard as possible....Comment

Seeing lots of diff opinions regarding Raptors-Nets.
ESPN people are basically split(9 say Nets,8 say Raptors).ESPN polls are in big favor of the Nets. NBA.com poll is in big favor of Raptors.Comment
