Shooting guard isn't exactly a deep position in the league.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Harden is the only one I'd take first with close consideration to Klay and Beal (they're young though). DeRozan is bleh to me and I love Dragic, depends if you consider him a 2 guard
Bosh is still top 10 PF...Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
SpoilerI just hate the lack of parity in the NBA. I know it's nothing new, and ever since the days of Bill Russell's Celtics there's only been about 3-4 teams that realistically could compete for a title, but it feels like all of these lockouts and labor negotiations to legislate parity into the league are really all for naught when you can easily manipulate your way around the salary cap rules.
I hate the fact that the Heat are in my division, but my feelings aren't vented towards them in particular, they just happen to be the team that epitomizes it. The Spurs I have no problem with, they draft well, develop their talent, and bring in players that fit their culture. I think King touched on a key point in the difference between bringing in a Danny Green and snatching up other teams star players (I.E. Lowry).
I'm just frustrated as a fan of a small market team, because we have to get every decision right, make every draft decision a perfect one, and if we somehow luck into drafting a transcendent talent or a superstar, we basically spend 7 years grooming him to end up in a big market.
10-4 buck.
Just wanted to clarify what you meant.Comment

HAhaha sorry but $15M a year? Thats overpaid. Bosh is worse than Pau Gasol and I'm sure Gasol will get around or less than $10M.NBA 2K16 2015-2016 Ultimate Rosters -- NBA 2K16 2015-2016 Ultimate Rosters (PS3)Comment

dont care either but if they REALLY want to win they need to be taking 10-12 a year and get an actual bench this seasonComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I really think some guys just overvalue offense raw numbers too much and dont value defense at all.
What Bosh has ment to the Heat D is vastly underappreciated, the guy is literally the best pick & roll big defender on a pick & roll driven league ... there are also more than a few articles that put a light on what he has been asked to do for the Big 3 system to work, and under that context, they guy has done a great job IMHO. Having said that, he was awfull in Finals, but then again, who didnt for MIA besides LeBron.
Is Bosh really a big 3 ? Not when one of those is LBJ, the rest cant get to that standard and is not even close, so I understand the criticism when considering what is supposed to be his next contract, then again, only due to LBJ taking such a paycut too. I doubt there would be any difference from the contracts of the 3, as he and Wade are still within the best players at their positions ... them on bellow 14mill contracts tho, liek Pat call it, would be just a pipe dream lol.
Anyways, I believe this offseason is looking like one that will define the landscape of the league for the next 4 years or so, be it that the staus quo remains or that gets altered.Last edited by ffaacc03; 06-28-2014, 04:50 PM.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I honestly don't want to see the heat come back together, but I've known the whole ride that it is going to happen. I mean if they come back together and sign a guy like Lowry and get a solid big. What's the point in even watching the NBA next season? I mean maybe a MVP rose and Carmelo Anthony equipped bulls have a shot to beat them? This is why I think it's ok for the league to actually block trades and signings. Although the one they blocked with CP3 to LA was a very stupid trade to block bc it probably would've been a better deal for the horents (at the time, now pelicans.) it's ok if they use their MLE to get whoever will come but when they start making paycuts it's ridiculous. No offense but u guys think this shows class? (UD's action was one of class) but come on the endorsements and off the court money that Dwade bosh and LBJ earn makes that paycut seem laughable to them.Last edited by JJJones135; 06-28-2014, 05:37 PM.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
all the more reason its great for fans when the heat fail to show up for the playoffs. if bosh truly is getting 15 mil a year they wont have money to get lowry and good bigs/benchComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Well considering the eastern conference finished
72-10
60-22
52-30
47-35
47-35
46-36
46-36
42-40
I'd venture to guess a few people had a smidge more reason to watch.
