They don't even need Gasol for that though, they either need a new coach, or someone to smack Brooks, Westbrook, and Durant all 3 of them across the face and tell them that you can't win in the playoffs playing 2 vs. 5.

Nelson would be a good fit as the backup in Charlotte. Apparently Steve Clifford is a big fan of him, so I could see it happening.

"Teams that contact James will be informed that he wants no less than the maximum salary number for next season, sources said. The max number is projected to be $22.2 million.
Currently, seven teams have the cap space to offer James a deal starting at $22.2 million next season: the Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic.
The Lakers and Suns, known to be serious bidders, have the space to add James and other high-level free agents. "

And then it goes up once he gets that promotion.

The funny thing is The Russians were going to give him that same type of raise. They just weren't going to give him full power and rightfully so.

Don't disagree. I think Miller is worth a spot on the bench though. So does this guy:
                        Hardwood Paroxysm @HPbasketball
Darius Miller is 115 on my list, but he's a high upside FA worth a risk for an end of the bench spot.

Regardless I hope someone takes a shot on both guys.

Putting a lot of faith in a rookie.. I'm not sure he's ready to be a day one starter but down the road Payton has loads of potential.
