Stephenson on his own kept Indiana semi relevant in the playoffs. I don't care about his off the court behaviour but what has he done on the court to earn the headcase status?

        Blowing on Lebron's ear? lol.

Lakers will be willing to overpay Stephenson for two years untill Kobe's contract run out in 2016.

Can the Bulls sign Pau and Melo? Didn't think they had that kind of money.

I get that, it just seemed what happened this year pushed it over the top. Idk I guess I just don't think any of it is as big of a deal as some people do.

As far as off the court stuff, so long as it isn't effecting his game or his teammates that I don't really give a damn, that's him or any other player. It's great if these guys are great individuals off the court, but if they aren't then so be it. As a basketball fan it's really none of my business what's goes on that doesn't effect basketball.. But I could easily see someone else feeling differently.

Hey King, How about Gasol for Boozer & a 1st? You get Gasol and rid of Boozer contract, we get the cap space next summer and a draft pick we don't have.

I sure hope not but who knows what we will do when we don't land Melo. Desperation causes teams to do dumb things.

Pau seriously considering OKC? The dude will never touch the ball. He didn't like giving everything to Kobe, he sure as hell isn't going to want to play on a team where two guys take more shots than everyone else combined..

Regarding Wade and his FA, it's been known for the last few seasons now that he wasn't going to be anywhere else but in Miami so him not getting any offers isn't surprising since that's been the common perception all along, same with nobody making Dirk an offer because he's said for the last few seasons as well that he would re-up with Dallas once his last contract ended.

Now if Wade had said he'd be willing to explore the opportunity of going to another team, he'd definitely get some offers.

They can't even sign Melo without doing some work I believe.

I get you guys not caring about their off the court stuff, I really don't either in the grand scheme of things, but whether you care about that stuff or not, that contributes to that "headcase" label that you were wondering about.

If I'm not mistaken, the idea would be to sign and trade Boozer to the Knicks for the Melo pick up and then either get Pau to sign for the MLE or package together some of those contracts they signed like Ronnie Brewer, Amundson, etc. for Pau.

How is it dumb? What do you want them to do? They have to spend the money on somebody. And in 2016 they will have all the cap space in the world and a developped Randle.

You had quoted me in that post so that's why I felt a need to respond. Again, if that wasn't your intention, then my mistake.
Ah, gotcha. I was replying to your question about Rip and Dunleavy being relevant. They're relevant in the context of what I was describing (taking a chance on players to fill a need... not speaking on if the chance actually worked out). The rest was more about that initial point. I was explaining why they are relevant in an argument directed at the people I was talking about, definitely not directed at you specifically.

How do we know his off the court stuff hasn't effected him or his teammates' game though? The Pacers had a VERY odd dip in production in the middle of the season, and into an inconsistent playoff run. There's speculation his locker room presence has something to do with that. If that's the case, any team would think twice about breaking the bank for him.

Got a good laugh out of this:

DALLAS -- Point guard Raymond Felton admits he played poorly for the New York Knicks last season and looks forward to proving he still can play "as an elite point guard" with the Dallas Mavericks.

"Just to show everybody that I've still got it, I still can play," Felton said on a conference call with Dallas reporters. "I still can play the game at this level. I still play as an elite point guard at this level. That's just all.
