I'm just having trouble understanding the strategy of what we're doing. Maybe the Jazz will have a last second change of heart and I'll be proven wrong, but it just all feels so helter-skelter.
It's a week into FA man.

Still plenty of time to address those issues, with the exception of number 3.

Can't keep looking for these guys to come here year-after-year, only to keep getting shut out. They'll soon be running the risk of pissing off Noah and Thibs.

Currently constructed, they're just a deep Eastern Conference out. It's like **** hasn't changed. It's frustrating.

Not trying to be an *** about it but that's just how it goes for some teams. You get a really great core, really entertaining core, but just never quite good enough to get over that hump. Similar to how New York, Indiana, etc felt during the 90's when you guys sat at the top.

Look at OKC even. None of these bigger name guys ever run there to team with Durant and Westbrook either, despite them being arguably the best duo in the league. Sometimes that's just how it goes.

Like I've said before I grew up a huge Bulls fan, because at the time there wasn't a team in Memphis, and I really didn't have any sort of home team to cheer for. I always just had teams and players I liked and Michael Jordan was like a god for me lol. I remember being really happy when they landed guys like Brand, Mercer, even Fizer lol.

My point is, you guys have a great team to watch even if getting over the hump never happens. Just be happy you aren't back to starting guys like Tarlac, Hoiberg, and Drew lol. (Still can't believe how low the talent level to to bottom was on teams in the very late 90's and early 2000's)

Damn. I'm a little pissed that Philly ended up getting Lin and assets instead of my Bucks.

Well tbh, 1) That is still possible no? I mean it isn't like many moves have been made this offseason. 2) Idk, maybe you can tell me better but don't you feel the full max for McSocks was a bit too much? 3) There are no superstars out there to get. Even if there was you'd have a hard time convincing them to play in Charlotte. Hayward or Stephenson is as close as you can get and I think Hayward makes more sense because you dont have to worry about him being bad mojo AND he's played with Al already.
Drafting Vonleh and Hairston was a hell of a offseason you guys just made the playoffs too. There still is a chance you can get Hayward or Lance so I think that's pretty good for you guys. ESPECIALLY in the East. If Miami breaks up, y'all are definitely challenging for HCA and division. Depending on Zeller and MKG's development, you may not even need the FA help you think.

What about Gasol + Lance? How would y'all feel about that?

There was plenty of games in the regular season and playoffs that Lance was outplaying PG and Indy was a 1 seed.

I don't think Indy without Lance was much better, if any, than last years Bulls, and that doesn't even count y'all having D Rose.

Would have been if y'all could have landed Afflalo and maybe Ariza or something. Orlando might have actually traded for Boozer's expiring considering they are in some sort of a rebuild and just overpaid Frye.

Not sure the exact number, but once Boozer's *** is gone should be around 16-17 million. Boozer can also be used in a sign and trade with the Lakers.

I don't think they want him at the much money lol. They'd probably just wait until he's amnestied and pick him up off the waiver wire

They probably don't want to lose Pau for nothing though. So yeah. Not that we're getting him anyway, since somebody is about to be dumb enough to trade for Amar'e. fml

I'm really hoping the Mavericks pick up Isaiah Thomas. If they got him, that would make them title contenders for sure.

Opinions on comparisons between Parsons and Hayward? I feel like I'd be more comfortable getting Parsons than Hayward if I'm Charlotte and offering a max deal. I didn't realize Hayward was viewed as the superior player

No surprise to see Vasquez stay in Toronto. He loves the city after only being here for a couple of months. Now with Vasquez locked up, lets see if Vasquez can make his own dreams come true and gets to play with his former high school teammate and supposed friend Kevin Durant again lol.

Philly's blog is reporting they've agreed on a trade. Philly will get Lin, a first round pick, and one other asset for their trouble.
