I'm hoping we avoid Deng, or if we do bring him in, it's on a short deal. I also like Shawn Marion too, we need someone to help mentor MKG.

I like McRoberts and I'm glad to know he was that big a piece for you guys after watching him be nothing of the sorts with LA, I just feel you may be pleasantly once the dust settles. He definitely is more replaceable than trying to find a star talent.
BTW, would you take the chance on Lance considering 2 guard seems to be the biggest need?Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati Reds -

Who's reporting this? It makes no sense at all, Beal and Reddick are redundant and both are starter materialComment

2014 Off-Season Thread
So IF LeBron does leave, Miami has Chalmers, Wade, Beas, Haslem.. Lol they are right where they left off before the Big 3.
I could see Riley trying to overpay for Lance, oddly Lance had nothing but praise about the Miami organization and players in all his interviews, I wouldn't see him being opposed to going.. Could see them throwing a max at Bledsoe.
Probably try to bring some youth, Jordan Hill, Ed Davis, Wes Johnson, Augustin, Aminu, Booker, Young.
Outside shot that they take on Boozer's expiring or something as well? Maybe target Gasol for a couple seasons. If Gasol isn't worried about rings Miami is the best location for him to stat-pile.
Lots of options to get this team moving forwards towards building while also being a high seed playoff team. I could see them getting the pieces to be in the 6-8 range. And they might as well considering I don't believe they have a pick next year.
Is there a very, very long shot that their roster could be something like:
Bledsoe, Wade, Granger/Beas/?, McRoberts, Monroe for next year? Could LeBron and Bosh leaving open up a max slot for Bledsoe and Monroe?
That's a playoff team in the East for sure, and probably a pretty exciting group to watch. I know LeBron leaving greatly reduces the "sexiness" for playing in Miami, but I know there has to be players out there who really admired what Riley and Spo have been able to do these past few years. Could still be a good market.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
No surprise to see Vasquez stay in Toronto. He loves the city after only being here for a couple of months. Now with Vasquez locked up, lets see if Vasquez can make his own dreams come true and gets to play with his former high school teammate and supposed friend Kevin Durant again lol.Comment

****ing ThreeKing lol

The Chicago Bulls expressed interest in Lance Stephenson today, according to sources.

So let's do some math. Suppose Houston dumps Lin & Asik with $0 coming back. They renounce Daniels, Garcia & Hamilton. They waive CasspiLarry Coon @LarryCoon · 5h
...Beverley, Covington & Powell. They keep QO to Parsons & Capela's draft rights. They have Dwight, Harden, Jones, Motiejunas & Canaan.Larry Coon @LarryCoon · 5h
..With that configuration, they can give Bosh $16,427,992. Pretty short of his $20,644,400 max.Larry Coon @LarryCoon · 5h
So let's renounce Capela & Parsons. Cap room rises to $19,279,451. STILL short of a max offer, and they don't have rights to Parsons.Larry Coon @LarryCoon · 5h
To keep Parsons' rights & still sign Bosh to max, they have to dump another $3,732,744 in guaranteed salary. That's Jones AND Motiejunas.Larry Coon @LarryCoon · 5h
So to get Bosh at max AND keep Parsons, Daryl Morey just needs to dump Asik, Lin, Jones AND Motiejunas with no salary coming he other way,Larry Coon @LarryCoon · 5h
...along with throwing overboard everything that's not bolted down.Larry Coon @LarryCoon · 5h
Interesting gambit, though. Doing it RT @MarkDeeksNBA You know how they could have had that $1.4mil more needed? By exercising Parsons's TOLarry Coon @LarryCoon · 5h
...this year keeps him restricted, as you know. But if they aren't going to keep his rights, then why bother? Of course, Bosh @MarkDeeksNBALarry Coon @LarryCoon · 5h

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I think once you factor in the minimum salary cap holds to fill the rest of the roster, they have about $19 million to offer to Bosh, and that's while still keeping the rights to Chandler Parsons and Pat Beverley. I think they pretty much need to cut another $800,000 once the Asik and Lin trades go through in order to offer Bosh that 4 year, $88 million contract. I'm sure they'll be able to make that happen.
I'd imagine that there wouldn't be a ton of articles about how Houston can sign Bosh if they just move Asik and Lin, and then match Parson's contract after the fact to keep both if that wasn't really possible.Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 07-10-2014, 07:32 AM.NFL: Bills
