Pau would be a welcomed edition over Boozer. God I was sick to my stomach watching that fool play. That screaming idiot offended my basketball sensibilities.

If it's not a sign and trade then I think that Melo is out of the picture. Don't quote me on that though. Wonder if Ariza or Lance can still be possibilities? They're still in play right?

I want Miami to try to sign Lance as well. I think he'd be a good fit because we need someone like him who will ball his *** off every night on both ends of the floor. I would be okay with giving him like 5/$55M.

Don't get greedy now. Y'all brag about your system so much so you can afford to pass on some star players right?

In regards to defense, Pau is light years ahead of boozer, you can't mention those two in the same sentence. Hell you can't even mention boozer and david lee in the same sentence anymore. Boozer is that awful.

In the right system (and assuming he's motivated and healthy) I believe he can be just as effective as his brother on defense. Just make sure Jo or Taj guards the fastest post player.

Have you watched Pau play defense recently? Teams constantly put him in the p'n'r because he's really bad at closing out and moving his feet.

You are talking about Pick n Pops. There's not too many 250 lb 7 footers that excel at guarding those. His brother sucks at guarding those too. So does Hibbert. So does Duncan. So does Bogut. The difference is those guys have teammates that know how to help in those situations. Same thing Pau will have in chicago.

Jo & Taj will guard those stretch 4 guys the majority of the time anyway. We'll be fine. If anything it's consistency and motivation I'm concerned about. Ever since Mavs took the lakers out in 2011, that's been a problem.

Not talking about p'n'pops at all. On the P'n'R it's the big's job to help and close out on the guard if he is at least a reasonable shooter.

I just had a weird dream about a 4-team trade between the Thunder, Spurs, Jazz, and Hornets, where the Jazz somehow landed Kawai Leonard. I was so disappointed when I woke up.

Again, that's not a Pau Gasol problem, that's a 7'0" 250 pounder problem. No player of that mold does well on defense that far away from the basket (dwight howard in his prime might be an exception).

I never said Pau was going to be a defensive juggernaut, I just said he'd provide similar quality defense as his brother. Maybe you think Marc is a juggernaunt because he won DPOY but remember from the votes he technically didn't make the first or second defensive teams that year.

Let's say Pau's effort on defense was inconsistent at best the last two years. Let's see how playing in a new environement helps him.

As Bulls work to finalize deal w/ Gasol, can't fully know if Melo is done. Gasol on MLE and Melo S&T does work but longshot. Closure today?
Well, moment of truth time at some point today possibly.

I still think there's a chance if Gasol signs for the MLE and Melo is done in a sign and trade. How likely that happens is a different story.

Come on LaLa. Make this happen.
