Spurs should be the favorites whether they get Gasol or not, but them getting him would almost seal the deal (IMO) to a possible repeat. Hoping the Spurs can sign him, salary dump Ayres (+ future 2nd round pick) and retain Aron Baynes.

They still need to find another wing player to play behind Kawhi and Manu. Especially with Manu being a year older and recovering from his second fractured leg.

Tough for Houston and Dallas. Parsons isn't a max deal is it? Both teams will still be pretty solid though. Up to Harden and Dirk to raise everyone's play. The talent is there.

And another question..does Miami retire number 6?

            I don't think we should.

Early reports on the trade if Houston is involved has the Lakers getting a couple of draft picks back but no players. I would assume Houston would be getting someone from Chicago.

I don't think anyone's even considering retiring anybody's number other than Wade. James didn't put in enough time to get that type of honor.

Enjoy the banners up in the rafters and keep it moving is how they should approach this. Let 6 be some # you give out to a top prospect or something and make it a legacy number.

If he can even play respectable defense, this is a nice pick up for the Thunder. Shot 45% from 3 last year.

Too bad he can't play defense or do anything but shoot.

That being said, it's still a good signing for OKC.

Nah, only way Taj was leaving here was in a trade that brought back Melo and even then that was in the air since Melo specifically wanted to play with Taj. Unfortunately not more than he wanted his money.

Word is that they were talking Dunleavy to the Lakers along with some non-guarantees. No word on Houston's part yet.

I heard that Houston is trying to get Boozer and his huge expiring contract.

He will probably fit in pretty solid for a year and then his expiring will give the Rockets some flexibility next offseason.

Hopefully, that would mean that Houston wont match Parsons.

Houston can have him. I'll drive dude to the airport myself.
