Apparently the Mavs were ready to offer Lance 2 years/$20 mil if the Rockets matched on Parsons. Wonder if he would have ended up with us instead with that offer compared to the Hornets offer.

Maybe Pack had finally convinced him to come on home but right before he signed the contract, Sportsbuck and RocketTMac distracted everybody, then Marino swapped out the Brooklyn contract with a Hornet one and the rest is history. You clever SOBs lolComment

Wizards apparently hired a close friend of Kevin Durant as a development coach. Gearing up for that 2016 run already for him. It isn't going to happen, but Wall/Beal/Durant would be amazing.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Aren't the Hornets going to have floor spacing issues? Lance would be their best shoot at 35% from downtown ...
I've seen a bunch of people suggest Boozer + Jefferson which sounds like recipe for disaster in terms of post D.Path to the Hall of Fame: Guts, Glory and Gangrene:

Good move MJ!. I'm glad to see Charlotte has been on redemption mode since being dead last 3 yrs ago during that lockout season. They have been improving their roster every year since then.Last edited by midwestking100; 07-16-2014, 11:18 AM.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
This is what I was saying earlier as far as Boozer...
Hendo only shot 34% so there's no real difference there...but McBob stretches the floor a lot differently than Boozer can. Nobody's guarding Boozer out at the 3 point line...and as exclusively as the Hornets dump the ball down to Al I think that's important...Comment

Seeing that Stauskas was taken we are pretty much banking on Neal, Hairston and Roberts for 3's this year barring any trade. The Buzz is Back in the Queen City. Cho........I have no idea what you are going to do in this draft man.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
His head is on straight. I dont' get where guys are coming with the "if he can keep his head on straight". The guy plays with passion. He's not the conventional buddy buddy type guy you see in the NBA today. He's confrontational, he tries to play mind games. He's a hell of a player, but he's not a headcase.
Woj reports that the two guards brawled until separated by Luis Scola and David West. He also reports that Turner isn't the first Pacer to grow tired of whatever it is Stephenson does to irritate teammates, calling the guard "relentlessly irritable."
I agree with you that it's nice to have a guy who isn't friends with everyone in the NBA, like the old days, but he seems to have a screw loose plus you can't be a prick to your teammates.
Anyway, giving the choke sign to LeBron when he was the 14th man and flexing after scoring a career-high 12 points a couple of years ago and taunting the opponent's bench. He's a bit of a headcase.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed James Jones to a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum.
Jones is a close friend of LeBron James and gives the Cavaliers perimeter shooting depth.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
So I think we have the vet mins left to hand out. I wouldn't mind picking up Jameer Nelson with that for another guard on the roster. I don't like the idea of Rose, Jimmy, Hinrich being our only guard rotation when significant missed time from injury is a real possibility with two of them.Comment
