When Garnett wins the FInals, then people will shut up. The MVP award dont mean nuttin unless you get a ring too. I am a huge KG fan, he is a beast but all he needs is some jewelry and then he will be in the clear....for a while that is

KG is my favortie player and I have defended him through the years of 1st round losses and big contract. My question is did he do enough in this game 7 to not be questioned again. I even saw folks attack KG's intelligence in the other thread but I figured I would not jump in that fire.

But I will say this I (playing and watching organized sports most of my life) have heard coaches and commentators refer to (games) as wars or battles but now its a controversy. Yeah we are at war and folks are dying but I wonder if some of you understand what this war is about in the first place.

With all the pressure on him he had on eof the most impressive game 7s that I can remember seeing congrats to KG and the Twolves bring on LA

You're an LSU fan and Shaq isn't your favorite player? Blasphemy!!!

Seriously, I've been a Garnett fan since he came into the league too. But a lot of people like criticizing him. It's been one thing after another. First he wasn't agressive enough, then he was a choker. Now people are saying the guy's an insensitive jerk because of one ill-timed comment in the middle of the playoffs. I don't get it. By all accounts he's a hard worker, who makes every practice, is unselfish, plays hard and with an exuberance that not many pro players do, yet people have to cap on him. A ring will shut most people up, but even then, there'll be people that want to criticize him. Just the nature of spectator sports...

I think he is validated now. The way he played in Game 7 against the Kings was a valiant and amazing performance. MVPS do not have to win the finals. Charles Barkley was a MVP and a great player...him losing to Jordan in the Finals does not make him illegitimate.

yo u are mixing 2 things . His game 7 vs sac , and the stupidity of his comments. He hasn't done enough to prevent putting his foot in his mouth.

Garnett is great and amazing and all that. They say every lie has some basis of truth. He is skinny as hell. So many times in the toughest game he is taken out of his game because the other team keeps a body on him and keeps knocking him off balance and he can't gather himself. That is the truth part in the lie that says Garnett can't play big games.
The only player on Sac that knows how to bump , hold , shove, lean on, elbow, tie up and even occasionally foul is Miller. Miller is too slow to guard Garnett on the midrange area , and Webber doesn't know how to play that type of defense. Seeing Webber's declining skills and Sacramento's range of offensive players , it would have been nice to see Webber play all his minutes trying to impersonate Garnett's second skin and giving Garnett another 250lbs of weight to carry around whenever he had a chance to lean on him.

And remember... he just turned 28!!!!! Hes got 5-6 prime years left, if not more because of how he stays healthy. Isnt he up to 200+games without missing a game?? And the last time he missed a game was to go to a family funeral..... Very Jordan like, Jordan knew how to land when he jumped to avoid injuries and you see KG do the same thing.. Very smart
