Re: Damn Damn Damn....Until next year KG
It may be me, but I was getting disgusted just watching that game. I don't care much for the lakers, but the refs were bending them over last night. It is the freaking playoffs. They should be allowed to play. But instead the refs were calling some horrible fouls trying to keep Minnesota in the game.
On the other hand, I figured out that I really don't like KG any more. Yes, he is a competitor, and has great game, but I can't stand his persona. Like the play in the fourth quarter where he is trying to keep Malone from going up and setting the screen, he wraps his arm inside of Malone's, and the refs call the foul on Malone. That was just rediculous. And KG acts all big and points down to the ohter end of the court as he is walking. Yes, he is a competitor, but I just can't stand watching him play any more, and I guess that is a good thing, because I won't have to for another 4-5 months!

Re: Damn Damn Damn....Until next year KG
Right, as if the Lakers never deserved to get called for those fouls. The only chance the T-Wolves had was to get the Lakers in foul trouble, especially since they are so short-handed. They did just that in the 1st half, but couldn't follow through in the second half. You think it would have been any better if the Lakers were allowed their physical play with impunity? If there was a foul, it SHOULD be called. It doesn't matter if the game flow is disrupted. Lakers were overly aggressive the 1st half and settled down in the second half. They didn't play smart in the first half.
By the way, Karl Malone does a LOT worse than KG so I hardly think it's unfair for KG to play a little dirty and take what he can get against Malone.
As for Kobe being the MVP, I don't agree. If Kareem Rush hadn't stepped up, the T-Wolves might have had that game. Rush was draining those 3's whether or not Kobe was on the floor, so he shouldn't be credited for the win, it should be Rush.Comment

Neo, I'm not saying I condone anything the Lakers did or didn't do, but I didn't think that KG played dirty. I cannot stand to watch Malone play because of all the dirty things he does, and thought that KG was just a pure competitor, but I saw different last night. By no means do I like either team, and want the Pistons to pull it out. I used to like to watch KG play because he did so with so much fire, and intensity, and pure basketball skill. He did it without playing dirty. I guess he did what he had to do to keep the T-Wolves in the game, but I still didn't like it.
And some of the fouls did need to be called, but a lot of them did not. I know that they were trying to keep the game under tight wrap, but it became a little one sided in the second and thrid quarter.Twitter - WTF_OS
