Maybe so but remember Jordan didn't have legends surrounding him (at least in the first 3 championships) sure he had Pippen but we all know that Pippen was made better by having Jordan with him. Just look at his career after playing with MJ.

All I wanted is for some non-biased people give an objective opinion of how good this guy is and can he be on the same level of MJ by the time he reaches his prime. IMO, he's a very good player. Who cares about supporting casts, legends, etc. I'm not judging just by tonite. I'm looking at the entire playoffs. Guy gets out of court, flys to LA or wherever and drops 40.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

So you're judging by his last playoff game too? 10-27?

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">Is that the only playoff game he's played? KDRE, it's obvious you don't like Kobe so give it a rest.

KDRE...u gotta stop hatin. I have never seen Tmac or P-squared hit big time shots like tonite's game and the Portland game. Kobe is on a differently level when he gets in that zone. Mac and Pierce have the potential to get there, but right now they're like Bruce Leroy in The Last Dragon before he found The Glow.

Pippen was a great player, and it is unfair to say that Pippen fell off after Jordan left because he didn't in 1994, and after 1998, Pippen was already old. The Bulls won 55 games in 1994 without Jordan, and lost in the 2nd round in seven games. If his support cast was so terrible, they wouldn't have been able to do this. The players that Jordan played with (Pippen, Ho Grant, Paxon, Armstrong, Kerr, Harper, Rodman, Kukoc) are vastly underrated in terms of what they meant to the team. If you actually watch old Bulls games, Jordan was incredible but his teammates were not scrubs. I don't know why all the Kobe haters want to make it seem like he isn't even close to Jordan...of course he is. While I'd still say Jordan is better, Kobe is very close, and one day might even be better. Open your eyes, Kobe is insane.

            <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Then Kobe is better than Magic? Yea right. It's the Kobe fans that keep bringing up the 25 yrs old comparisions. MJ didn't have all of those guys. Kobe can't get the respect you're talking about until the 400lb thing in the middle is gone.

Why am I hating? You guys are saying he's like MJ. This has nothing really to do with me liking Mac. I give Kobe his props as I said earlier in a post, but you guys are acting like this dude has accomplished more than MJ ever could. You stop the insanity. MJ was the GOAT. If he was 25 right now, he'd mop up Kobe and the Lakers team alone.
