What are your expectations for your team for next season ?
Anthony Davis does things that shouldn't be possible.
Pelicans compete for an 8th playoff spot. Team looks solid on paper if everyone is healthy, analytics were very kind to them offensively when the core group of players were on the floor. I guess more is possible for them in an absolute best case scenario if AD takes yet another step.
Defense should probably improve if Jrue lasts all season and AD stays at the 4 alongside Asik.Last edited by Chrisksaint; 08-02-2014, 09:57 PM.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

I'm ready to see Holiday back, I think he's pretty solid all around. I need him and AD healthy for a whole season.Comment

Golden State:
A home playoff series.
I don't see a run to the WCF or anything, but I expect to have a top 4 season in the West.
I also expect sound coaching instead of a pastor masquerading around as a coach with no real plan. So that should be refreshing. It could be fun to watch this team when it actually seems to have a plan on offense for once.Last edited by Bellsprout; 08-04-2014, 06:16 PM.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Considering SVG has never missed the playoffs, Pistons get one of the bottom playoff seeds in the East. When they bring back Monroe, the onus will be on SVG to get all the pieces to fit.
The other possibility is the aforementioned dumpster fire.Comment

Still trying to figure out if continuity is enough to make the playoffs in the WC or not. Dallas got better, Memphis got better, Denver should be good again. Golden State is really the only team I see potentially falling out of the playoffs because they have a rookie HC. Otherwise I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the exact same 8 teams in the WC playoffs next year.Comment

Re: What are your expectations for your team for next season ?
umm...actually I'm kind of nervous for this year, don't really know what to expect, are we going to be better then we were last year or go back to being what we were from the following years..I know Wall and Beal will get better, but after thinking about it and losing Ariza, that really hurts defensively..Just hoping Otto and Rice can do what they did in summer league
But knowing how DC teams work, when folks expect a lot from them, they fail.Washington Redskins
Washington Wizards
St.Louis Cardinals
Uconn Huskies
Miami HurricanesComment

I'm expecting at least 50 wins for the Mavs this coming season. They're being severely underrated right now, which is always good so there's less pressure to perform.
The west is so deep though, so they could be out of the playoffs by the 2nd round, or they could challenge for the Championship. Hoping for a Mavs-Spurs matchup again at some point in the playoffs.

Carlos boozer retires after training camp and never plays a minute in the regular season for us.
Xavier Henry stays healthy all season. So we can finally see if he has a place as a rotation guy.
Julius Randle surprises everyone and averages 17 & 8 to narrowly edge Jabari Parker for rookie of the year."This is for all of my peoples who understand and truly recognize. Some won't get it and for that i won't apologize"- Talib KweliComment

Nerlens Noel is a dark horse RoY candidate imo. If he plays enough I think he could definitely win that award too.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

i have the odd feeling a healthy celtics team can sneak into the 8th seed if rondo isnt moved now that the east probably lost a powerhouseComment

Re: What are your expectations for your team for next season ?
They would have to blow my expectations out of the water that's for sure.
Even if we said the same 7 teams (minus Indiana) make the playoffs you still have Cleveland to take that spot and New York, who I would probably have ahead of Boston.
Atlanta, New York, Indiana, Boston, Detroit, Orlando could likely all be fighting for that last spot. Though I expect New York or Atlanta to lock it up.
I expect Philly and Milwaukee to be the only two teams completely out of contention for a playoff spot. Then again who knows in the Eastern conference.Comment
