Re: Kobe predicts they will win game 5

I don't believe that conspiracies run in the NBA. The problem with the NBA is that the officiating is absolutely terrible. And it has been that way for a looooooong time! That's why coaches spend so much time trying to "work" the refs in the media, and on the court. Right now it appears that Phil Jackson is not coaching his team, and is only crying about the officiating. That's because he knows this is where the game is won or lost. From High School to Pro, all coaches know this.

The NBA has to do something about the bad officiating. For decades, the NBA seemed to ignore the problem. Any basketball fan knows that when you open the sports page to the box scores, you don't even have to look at the final score. Just look for which team shot the most free throws, and there you will find the winner of the game. When you have a formula like this, the officiating has to be top notch. The officials in the NBA are as integral to the scoring as the 3 point shot. And because they are so bad, we have people that truely believe these games are fixed. I don't believe that at all. I've been watching this league a long time, and the biggest problem I can see is how horrible the refs are. And they are not going to get better anytime soon.

I dont think the refs will change the way they officiated in game 5. Its clearly too late for a drastic change in the way the game is called. Only thing I expect to see is more no-calls. But as far as foul advantage, I believe the refs will try to call the game as even as they possibly can so no excuses can be made. Its all on LA to show up at the palace today if they wanna win.

This is why I had lost my respect for NBA a few years ago, when Jordan was still playing. And it behooves me as to why people think like this, and think its justifiable. Its stupid that you have to be a star to get certain calls. How the heck are you gonna become a star if you have all this working against you?

Tell me this? Is a foul not a foul? Why is it fair if Olawokandi goes to the basket and gets hacked by Shaq and theres no foul. Versus if someone seemingly approaches Shaq when he goes up, and its a foul. At the sake of saying alot of stuff that refers back to my main point I will simply ask.

Is a foul not a foul, no matter who commits it? And this is actually a rhectorical question b/c the answer is "Yes"
