Do you know Karl and Gary and did they specifically give you their reasons for wanting to play in LA. Because Kobe probably wont be back and neither will Karl, yet Gary has said that he will work on his jumper all off season to come back better and play for LA.

Perhaps buying is the wrong word but you KNOW what the situation is. If the Lakers COULD HAVE paid them the right amount they would've taken it. Bottom line is they still tried to buy a championship, just in a another way. Once again it didnt work. And I'm glad it didnt.
