right now phoenix has Stoudamire and Marion (two potential all stars next year), a nice player in Joe Johnson, the number 7 pick in the draft and the rights to the best PG in europe. They would be better keeping what they have and upgrading through free agency.

and don't sleep on good role players like Jacobson and Barbosa

And if Shaq were to stay on the Lakers all that "potential all-star" stuff won't matter because the Suns will still lose to the Lakers 3 out of 4 games and struggle to make the playoffs.

Shaq doesn't have losing seasons on the teams he plays for. Neither does Kobe.

Same can't be said of Amare or Shawn.

I say let the Suns keep Johnson, but Amare &amp; shawn would make excellent Lakers. Use the draft to shore up both forward spots.

of course they'd make great players but I just don't think you throw out an entire up and coming team for 1 year, 2 max of a player on the downfall. If they get shaq and sign him to the massive deal he wants then not only do they lose their core but they also lose their cao space.

I doubt Phoenix would kill their team like this.

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

This is the same team that didn't win 30 games this year. I think the Phoenix Suns would be very fortunate if LA would do that deal.

Don't forget that Phoenix has a pretty good draft position where they could fill a spot devoid of Amare or Shawn.

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

yeah but they are one solid big man away from being a playoff team. They have the best pg prospect in europe, a rising sg, an all-star small forward, a great pf who has good potential. If they trade for shaq their screwing up their team. Plus they stupidly traded away their number 7 pick for cash a future pick, and a second round pick.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.
