Well excuse me **wipes the salt off my shoulders**
This is a major indicator that this draft is not good when you can get Jamison for the 5th pick

And a major indicator that the Mavericks really, really, want Shaq. If they don't get Shaq, I wonder what Dallas does with this pick? ESPN says they would probably be interested in Pavel Podkolzine, but I'm not so sure. I think they might select a PG and trade Steve Nash away if he asks for more money than Cuban wants to pay. The Mavericks are definately a player in this years free agency.
As for the Wizards, this is an interesting deal. Does this move alone put them in the playoffs? No, but I think they are really close. A backcourt of Gilbert Arenas, Larry Hughes, with Kwame Brown and Antawn Jamison, and a combination of one of their Centers, or if they want to go small, they could play Stack at the 3. Not a bad lineup if you ask me. The only question is, is having Jamison better than drafting one of the following: Andre Iguodala, Luol Deng, Shaun Livingston, Josh Childress, or Andris Biedrins, I'm not so sure. But keep in mind, Jamison just turned 28 this month, and as a starter in the NBA he has averaged 20+ points, 7+ rebounds, 1 steal, and shoots 46% from the field and 72% from the charity stripe. Thats not bad for a #5 gamble.
