yeah, if okafur had more post moves, better jump shot range, and better free throw shotting percentage he would definetely have been number one. Looks like the bobcats are trying to build like the pistons.

comparing howard as another KG and okafor as a potential ben wallace is ludicrious. howard will be howard and okafor will be okafor.

Lets see....Undersized PF who specializes in blocks and boards. Strangley similar to someone else in the league. Then you have a close to 7 ft rangy PF outta HS with crazy athleticism and the ability to dominate in the open floor...Geez Diddy, you're right...That comparison IS ludicrous!

Thank you
If i had to compare NBA players to Howard and Okafor i would say
Howard - Amare Staudamire, Juwon Howard type - but the big questions about Howard regard his inside prescense , Just How Tall does he play when against NBA players ?
-for example Does he look as tall as a Jermaine O'Neal in the paint or is he closer to 6'9" ?
He looks extremely well built for his age , he looks to already have some decent strength for the NBA power forward position and has the body-type to continue to add strength and power for years.
-Again this goes back to his height. A 6'9 Howard could be maybe another Amare , but if he is really a true 6;10 , 6'11" frame then his type of game could make him a future top 20 player. Possibly top 10.
I want to see how great a rebounder Howard is. Can he deliver a hit to his man and still get off a strong jump to bring in the rebound? Is he an offensive threat on the boards , playing above the rim and using his strength to battle for tip ins and put backs ?
He runs well , can he finish a break at all ? Can he catch a lob , how will his confidence be in the nba open floor
Okafor - Theo Ratliff
Okafor is all about improving his offensive game. He used to be what coaches call a Robot out there , but he improved last year by adding a few post pivot moves. He needs to play instinctively and natural and aggressive on the offensive end of the floor. He isn't a great shooter and he can often give up a few inches to a center. Is a skilled ballplayer decent instincts in aspects like shooting and posesses excellent timing , - he could develop his offensive game to the point that he can get a little space and hit a short jumper, if its that little spin move he does or he develops a jumphook orhowever he needs to get it done ... Has added some bulk in past year and shows a willingness to participate in the offseason program , and most importantly the willingness to bang underneath, however strength at the center position is a slight weakness that should cure itself as he grows. He takes a beating inside , so conditioning and the health of his back is a concern.Comment

Re: HOWARD IS # 1
Height isnt everything.
Look at Barkley, he's what, 6'5", 6'6" and can dominate the boards.
Rodman was only 6'8" or so and he was a rebounding monster.
Both played the PF position as well.
Orlando does quite well with the Number 1 picks actually.
In the past, they drafted Shaq and also Chris Webber.
Both turned out to be really good players.
We'll see about Howard.
Havent seen that guy play, so no comments.Comment
