Rockets to go after Nash?
DA was on PTI today and they were talking about how the Rockets need a PG and he mentioned Nash's name since he'll be a RFA starting tomorrow. And also said they they might go after Fisher.

Re: Rockets to go after Nash?
I think the Raptors will make a push for Nash (or at least I hope they do) so things could get interesting there. I think Derek Fisher will be another Tyrone Lue in that he was great in LA but he'll be a very marginal player with another team.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I wouldnt really compare T-Lue with Derek Fisher. Lue played alright in LA mainly just played good D against Iverson in the fianls a few years back. I think fisher is more of a 6 man now or 15 minutes a game backup pg. Im not sure I would go after Nash either if he wants alot of money that is if I were the Rockets but the Raptors should definatley purse Nash.-JoshComment

All we'd have to offer is the MLE(Mid Level Exception)...I'm guesing he'd want upwards of 8-9 million dollars...Were gonna have to settle with someone like Troy Hudson or preferably a PASS FIRST point guard, which clearly,Alvin Williams is not...Comment

I think Derek Fisher would be a good fit in Houston. It is almost the identical situation he has played in for his career. Kobe = T-Mac, Shaq = Yao. T-Mac will have the ball a lot, as did Kobe. And Fisher's job will be to play tough defense, set up the offense, and give it to the big guy. Plus, he has proved he can knock down wide open threes, which he will get with T-Mac and Yao getting all the attention.
The guy will turn 30 in August, and he has loads of playoff and finals experience. Plus, he will be quite fresh for next season after only playing 20 minutes a game last year. I think Fisher would be a great fit.
With that said, Nash is a much better player, but if the Rockets don't land him, I wouldn't sweat it if I was Houston.Comment
