Your a silly dude, first off LA ain't NY and if he did play here in NY, there would be people flocking to endorse him. He would make so much money in NY without playing basketball. NY is more marketable then LA any day.

people wouldn't run to endorse him right now, he's got a high profile jury trial for rape charges coming up. Do you actually think any company wants to be involved with Kobe right now? If he is aquitted then he'll get more endorsements, but no company will want to flash Kobe's pic with their product on TV while Kobe's in an Eagle courtroom, all over the news.

Nike has said that if Kobe is a free man and signs with the knicks then they will double his endorsement contract. That with the exception would have reportedly then equalled the money he would getin LA.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing about what the hell Kobe want to do in relation to his decision on a team. Everyone's talking about this decision like it's the greatest free-agent acquisition in NBA history. To me, Kobe isn't even worth all this trouble. T-Mac, Vince, and many others like them are just as good as Kobe. Everyone always tries to tie Kobe with MJ but it just can't be done. Let me remind you that Kobe was shut down in the Pistons series. Has MJ ever been shut down? Dont' think so. Why the hell is Kobe messing with the minds of each GM about where he's gonna go when you'd be stupid not to take the Lakers deal. If you're in a situation where they fire probably the greatest coach in NBA history, kick out the most dominant big man in the game, willing to pay you a max contract, and basically give you the control over team choices. If Kobe doesn't go to the Lakers with all those things that have been done for his benefit, then he doesn't deserve to be a Laker or anything else for that matter. Kobe needs to grow up and stop being so whinney about everything (especially with all the support from the Lakers due to his rape charge), be thankful that he had a player like Shaq on his team, and pick his damn team and move on.

Spurs have the fifth most cap space of any team, maybe even fourth after Atlanta signs its rookies.

Spurs might lose Ginobili, and even if they dont, he'd be an excellent backup to Kobe. You can never pass up having two MVP candidates who play different positions on the same team, its the same as it was with Kidd.
