Sounds like a trade would be made. If they get a big man, then watch out.

No need for a trade. Like I said, they can resign Keon Clark.

Whoever said they're worried about cap space for resigning after all this, remember that Suns are still under the cap even after signing Nash and Q (obviously, or else they wouldnt be able to sign them). They still have flexibility under the luxury cap which should be about 12-15 mill above the salary cap. They can resign Clark no problem, and probably sign some veteran scrubs to the minimum to fill out the roster. Then, next season, IMO, you let JJ walk. He can probably make more money and PT elsewhere, Jacobsen can fill in and plus you need some extra salary room for...resigning Amare the next summer, which is the big one.

right now I am BEGGING Q Rich not to sign, GO TO DENVER, PLEASE!!! He is a fantastic player and will get lost in that loggjam of the suns. In Denver he has no compitition at 2 gaurd and he can just tear it up. I'd much rather have him then Ginobli.

i think there might be a trade unless q rich is coming off the bench.... i doubt they would get rid of jj.. hes just finding his niche and hes becoming a superstar.... they cant move him to sf.. thats where matrix is.... i doubt they trade matrix either.... ???? i guess q rich is stuck on the bench again unless jj comes off the bench..... q rich off the bench might be the best move as long as he gets his time.... he always punished the 2nd string guards

Re: Suns make Q-Rich an offer

There wont be need for a trade. Absolutely not. We resign Keon too, there's our big man. If we have Nash, Q, Marion, and Amare......there wont be any need for a center thats better than Keon anyways. Whoever suggested that trade for Shaq.......nope. We'll have the shooting we desperately needed (we needed it as much as a big man) by signing Nash and Q. And Amare, Matrix, and Keon will be enough to rebound the misses.

We dont need someone to stop Shaq, there isnt one who can. We need people to just collect rebounds, and clog up some space. Stoudemire, Marion, and Clark will get around 27, 28 rebounds a game. Richardson has potential to get 7 on his own. Add whoever else's rebounds and we'll be in shape. All we have to do is stop teams from getting second chance points. Thats the key to winning. Outrebounded on the offensive end? You're gonna lose.

There is no logjam at the guard position. We'll have Nash, Q, Johnson, Jacobsen, and Barbosa. Barbosa is learning how to play anyways, and Jacobsen doesnt even want to be a starter. That leaves Johnson. If Johnson accepts his role as an energy sixth man type, then we're set. He doesnt really have too much of an ego anyways.

This season immediately catapults us into the front bunch in the West if we get QRich. Still wont be as good as Minnesota, SA, Sacramento, or Dallas, but if LA loses out on Kobe or loses Shaq, then we should be in front of Houston at a 5th or 6th seed.

It will be interesting. Sign it Q, and hope the Clips dont match.

I'm pretty confident that if they get Q, that someone will be traded and it will probably be Marion. You can't get enough minutes for 5 guy in 2 spots. Plus, do you really think Joe Johnson is going to head back to the bench after getting serious PT this season. I didn't think so either. He has the potential to be a big time player, given the right atmosphere and minutes. If Phoenix doesn't want to do that for him, he should request a trade and go turn himself into the next TMAC in the East somewhere. Now thats all speculation, because I don't really know of any big man in the East that Phoenix would actually want. Maybe a S&T for Dampier. Sort of a three team deal that would get Richardson out of Golden State to Chicago or something. I don't know, I've now started rambling. My apologies...
