I can't see why Kobe would prefer to play with Corey, Elton & whomever they have in the middle over Lamar, Caron Butler, Luke Walton & whomever the Lakers have in the middle.

If you think Laker fans are mad about Shaq leavin', just wait to see the reaction if Kobe bolts too and the Lakers are left with NO star power in their lineup to draw fans. It would be suicide for Kobe as far as his fan base (which is HUGE in Los Angeles...see all star voting) and it would be murder for the Laker organization.

I love Luke Walton as much as the next guy, but if you're relyin' on him to put people in the seats you're going to go bankrupt. Luke is the kind of guy that can make winning a championship easier for a superstar. Luke probably isn't a superstar himself.

First of all, I think he's good friends with Maggette and some other guys on the Clips so that may factor in. Also, I think Elton Brand and Corey Maggette is just as good if not better than the combo of Odom and Butler just because I don't think Odom has the size to bang with Western PF every night and keep his numbers close to last years.

The clippes (finally)know what direction they are going into..There is EB,C-Maggs.You're also forgetting that in 2 years Livingston could be a potential star..Chris Kaman is gonna be a good big man.He has smooth post skills,just that he needs better conditioning...I'd rather go the LAC where the team in 2 years will have a much better shot at making the finals then the Lakers IMO...
