It had better be Jesus and the 12 disciples cause I don't know who else is better than AI.

I have to agree with Matrix on that one. AI is a good player, but Kobe, The Truth, and TMac are slightly better then him.

I'd go far as saying that I'd take Ray Allen OR Vinsanty if healthy over AI....

I don't think I'd go that far. Kobe and TMac over AI,yes. Paul Pierce over AI, I'd take that trade. Maybe for Ray Allen. But with Vince Carter you get the same "blame it on the teammates,it wasn't my fault" attitude that AI has. It's not has bad has Iverson's,but it's there.

Being a Mavs fan, i would have to say that i wouldn't give Finley, Nowitzki, or Nash for AI. I would hate to see him in Dallas because he is such a cancer to the team. I hope the Mavs stay relatively "thug free".

I think that IF Philly was willing to trade Iverson, their best bet would be to try to get Kobe. BUT...AI isn't going to get traded anytime soon. I honestly don't think a lot of teams want him.

I agree. The kid can play but way too much baggage to land another "superstar" caliber player. Maybe if he was traded for "potential" superstars or draft picks...maybe a team would pull the trigger. Maybe. I could see teams pulling a trade like Kobe for T-Mac or Allen for Vinsanity because for the most part they have similar skills and have a clean rap sheet. It isn't that any of those players are that much better than AI they can be interchanged (based on team needs) but they lack the all the baggage. They could transition into the team seamlessly were AI may cause issues. It is a shame AI produces as much media off the court as on the court. He has great heart and skills and if he just grow up.

                    Re: iverson trade

There are maybe 5 players in the league that have his talent, and I don't think any of them are going anywhere. AI is staying put. I just wish that AI would start to really put the effort in to try to win an NBA title. He really showed me a lot two years ago in the finals, he's got a lot of heart, but yes AI we do need to start talking about "Practice" it might help make you and your team mates play better together, I hope he starts really focusing on being the best player that he can be.

please, Iverson would never go anywhere. And no it is not because he can't be traded, it is because no other player is like him. He has the more heart than any player and can really lead a team. And yes, AI does know he is the leader of that team (even though he said he wasn't) but how would you feel if your coach blamed everything on you? No one on the sixers could even make a jumper last year so they just doubled/trippled Iverson (don't believe me, look at the tapes). Iverson is as good a leader as it gets. If his teamates played half as hard as he did, they wouldn't have been eliminated so early in the playoffs.

I don't think that this is true, he needs to find a way to get his team involved more. I know that they don't have a lot of talent surounding him right now, and at times they do seem to look at him like aren't you gonna score now, but he has to find a way to help them all play better as a team.

I'm not sure where you are coming up with this. Iverson has his share of problems, but I have watched a good portion of the Sixers games over Iverson's career as well as caught quite a few Post-game Live shows on the local TV here and I have never heard Iverson say anything that would make you believe he blames his teammates for the team's shortcomings.

The Sixers will never trade Iverson because they have a fairly-new 20k+ seat arena that sells out almost every game. Some of the players mentioned in this thread are great players, but not many have the drawing power of Iverson.

Maybe I interpreted his famous interview wrong, but it seemed like right there he was saying that he didn't have a good enough team around him. I don't know how much of that he really meant, since yes it came out in a situation where he just seemed to blow up. But the fact that it did sound like that makes me believe he has to think at least somewhat that it's the team's fault. Which I don't blame him, since the team honestly doesn't seem to help him a whole lot, but I don't think he's doing everything he can to lead the Sixers.

Fair enough. I didn't see the entire infamous interview.
I totally agree with the above statement you made. He'll probably "get it" some day...hopefully, it won't be too late in his career.
