I think he will be the #1 draft pick whether the lottery team keeps him and develops him into a all-star or trades the pick for immediate help. I mean he's not like Kwame Brown a bust (Even though most Power Forward/Centers out of HS arent great until like year 3. And Kwame has Patrick to help him with his low post game this year.) He seems like a Tracey McGrady type player he can do it all. If I were Chicago, Clevland, Denver, Memphis I'd go for him.

no sh!t! the kid has talent, but i think he is over hyped! look at who he's playin' against. guys that should be on the school's row boat team. this kid looks the same as Kobe &amp; T-Mac looked in high school. he's easliy the biggest if not one of the biggest guys on the court, he should dominate like that. i'm not hatin', but IMO, todays high school players suck! 90% of them can't excute a pick and roll...

If he goes number 1 depends on who has the pick and who else is available. I'd be willing to bet if LeBron James was in the draft this year, Jay Williams probably would have been taken ahead of him. There's just too much uncertainty with high schoolers, and some teams are really getting burned by it (Kwame Brown). I think execs are starting to get a little shy now about pulling the trigger on high schoolers, which is why I have my doubts of him going number one.

Is he over hyped? YES... But he scored like 35 against oak hill last year, being guarded by Carmelo Anthony, who will most likely be a top 5 pick next season as well. He is a one in done at Syracuse.

He will be a solid player from the start. Not a superstar, but solid from day 1.

This is what is wrong with the NBA these days.

Take a 18 year old kid, hand him millions and watch as he develops a great "posterizing put back off a missed free throw".

If the NBA is going to continue to draft these youngins, they need a true minor league system.

Think of how much better Jermaine Oneal would be had he gotten to play all the time between 18 and 21 and been around a coach who is used to helping kids mature.

For every Kobe there are 3 or 4 busts.

I have the good fortune to live in Ohio and have I bothered to drive 3 hrs to watch the kid play. No. Did I watch his games that were televised. Yes. I agree that there is a lot of hype about him (deserved or not deserved)? What I have seen in his game is poor shot selection and for a guy that gives up the rock be turn over prone. Is he worthy of number one pick I think he will get ....who knows. The kid is gifted and better than the majority of high school ballers he faces, what will he do in the NBA is yet to be determined.

I went to a "FAN SITE" and checked out some "highlight reels".

He was playing against some 6 foot tall white kids(I'm white and I'm not saying white people suck at ball) but you get my drift. There all skinny and only 6 ft. tall.

His skills were impressive to the average eye. But those skills are only impressive enough to get into college, not a #1 pick. IMO.

Kobe was the same way in HS though. So second judging Lebron may be a bad thing to do in the long run.

HELL YES! I do camps with Ray Allen during the summertime at UCONN, and he can't understand why the kid doesn't get any PT either. he say "SKIP" just kills guys in practice with his penatration and passing....
