yea, I like Tony Reali, he's also stat boy on PTI (I hope espn wont even consider changing that show) but If I had to choose I would watch "I, Max" on FOX Sports with Kellerman over Around the Horn.

Stat Boy?! That guy is a moron. Some of the stuff he says on Around The Horn is complete BS,

As for Stephen A., the guy knows his stuff. Some people just can't look past how he talks. Same with Michael Irvin. People say he is a dummy and don't like him jsut because of how he talks, but in reality, he is saying good stuff.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I like stat boy, I think he generally knows what he is talking about.

I dont like Steven A just cause the way he comes across, but DA was a great reporter, and I hope he ends up somewhere good like TNT.

Now that I can listen to PTI on the radio, I really dont have any need to watch ESPN. I can just watch NBATV and the NFLTV

I hold Stephen A. and Michael Irvin in different light.

Michael Irvin is there to give his game experience and opinion.

Stephen A. is SUPPOSED to be there to bring inside information and breaking news (a la Peter Vescey).

The problem is, the majority of what comes out of SA's mouth is just opinion. He's speaking from his own heart, not reporting. Yes, he and Michael Irvin are both brash, but SA is not doing what he's supposed to be doing.

He always talks of "his sources" but he's never come out with info that no one else knows about. Every other day, "oh my sources say Shaq will either go to the Knicks or the Mavs".

Where the hell did he hear that nonsense?

David Alridge is a classy dude and does what he's supposed to do up there. Stephen A. is just spouting off. I hope he lands on TNT. He deserves better.

He was clowning Ric Bucher for not having any NBA type experience. Then Greg Anthony had to remind Stephen A. that Stephen A. has never played in the NBA.

TOP 10 THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT ESPN

                    10. The face of the network, Dayton native Dan Patrick, played basketball at Eastern Kentucky University. In his contract, he is prohibited from saying positive things about any SEC or Big 10 team because they want viewers to "view analysts as unbiased towards any University or Professional Sports franchise."

                    9. Around the office, Mike Krysewski is referred to as "God" instead of Coach K, Roy Williams as "Jesus", and Dean Smith as "Moses."

                    8. New anchors (such as Mike Hall) have to take an oath before their first show swearing to never say cross words about the ACC.

                    7. Billy Packer is viewed as "an objective analyst."

                    6. Stuart Scott (University of North Carolina alum) coined the term "Boo-Ya" during a keg stand at a North Carolina frat party.

                    5. Andy Katz is the guy who ruined Jerry Tarkanian at Fresno yet ignored the Corey Magette situation at Duke.

                    4. An intern was fired when Outside the Lines ran the story on how former Duke player Carlos Boozer mysteriously passed a summer Sociology course without ever taking the course because he was over in Japan playing on the USA team in the World University Games. The intern was supposed to air the re-run on how Eddie Sutton paid off Chris Mills to come play ball at UK.

                    3. Dick Vitale's daughter is a Duke graduate. Also, Vitale was the first person Coach K called to inform he had turned down the Laker's job offer.

                    2. On their "Best teams of the Last 25 years", the 1996 University of Kentucky Men's Basketball National Championship team (with 9 future NBA players on their roster) was not included. This is a team that lost 2 games all season, went on a 26 game winning streak, went undefeated in SEC play, and defeated their six NCAA tournament opponents by more than 25 points a game. Other teams not mentioned were the 1999 UConn men's team, 1989 Michigan team, and the 1984 Georgetown squad. Teams that were included were 1982 UNC, 1990 UNLV, and 1992 Duke were. Oh, and some UCONN and Tennessee women's teams were as well.

                    1. Last but not least: When the Coach K Crisis ensued, ESPN posted a poll question: "Who is the best college basketball coach in the ranks today?" They gave four choices: Coach K, Jim Calhoun, Bob "I haven't won anything since 1987" Knicght, and Lute Olson. There was no "other" option, such as Jim Boeheim, Gene Keady, Tom Izzo, Rick Pitino, Tubby Smith, Eddie Sutton, Ben Howland, Rick Barnes, Bill Self, Tom Crean, etc.

And you expected ESPN to be logical when it came to Aldridge?

Stephen A. Smith hates white players, and has no clue what he's talking about. He tries to be controversial and in your face even when it's not needed. What a ******** move by ESPN. David Aldridge was an unbelievable inside source and a great analyst, and they basically replace him with this moron.

I'd hate to see DA leave because he was always on point in terms of giving information unlike Stepehn A. Smith who just makes wild guesses and slam teams he doesnt like. I really hope NBA on NBC would make a return..Disney is messin up.
