Nba Shootout2003, comes out in 3 days

Any idea's how this game will stack agianst live and 2k3?

Beginning in the Summer Pro League, your created persona works his way up from the authentically licensed team of backups through the NBDL minor league system, until finally reaching the status of "NBA player". Once he's in the show he better be good too, because if he falters too much or doesn't perform to his expected level, it's back to the minors for you. Sometimes you can even be traded to another team if your squad feels that you're expendable. It's an approach not seen in a career option before, and a very cool one at that.

But how do you avoid being traded? What can you do to become the star player on every team you play for? Simple: You have to work for it.

Creating your character from scratch, your customization options are nigh unlimited. Face guards, socks, wristbands, elbow pads, hair bands, and even forehead size can be altered and changed before setting out into the pros. Once you've decided on a look, you can distribute a very small amount of points to the sections you see worthy. But to get better at them, you're going to have play your games and practice in your off time.

Gaining in abilities much like an RPG, your shooting, passing, and similar drills are key to creating a superior player. So while you can create someone who may be able to get by rather well in the minor league system without practicing, you can completely forget about ever making it to the NBA. To do that, you have to practice, and practice often.

Sounds pretty cool. Graphics aren't too bad compared to nba2k3. But if this game can perform gameplay wise, it may be on my list as the unknown giant of bball games this fall.

I will be giving it a look on Weds. I should know soon enough. It has potential, however; when you think of the game developer hopes aren't too high.

Don't expect anything good at all from what I've heard about the game.

Well. If you have seen the vids in IGN.. you won't be interesting in this game.

I seen the videos and the game doesn't look unplayable. I am for giving every title a shot. Again the developer hasn't produced a solid effort in years, however; going with that thought I wouldn't give Live or Starting Five a look either. I'll rent them all then buy the one(s) I like the best. I am excited about titles this year and look forward to more than one playable game this year.
