Steve, Nash, better, than, Jason, Kidd?

Let me rephrase that. Jason Kidd not WAY better than Steve Nash?

I'm sorry but not only is he a way better PG, he's a way better defender too. If Kidd was in Dallas for a couple of years now, they probably would have been to the Finals already.

Also, I'm hoping that doesn't happen. Go to Houston or something, better yet, Sacramento.

              Absolutely will NOT happen.

Jersey is DUMPING contracts. They are not going to take on bad contracts.

The only deals that get Kidd will be expiring contracts and picks.

              <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

You are wrong in that man. It's a good trade for both teams. Golden State gets a local guy to come in a run their team. Plus, it frees them up to make a sign and trade for Marion. I'm am almost positive that Phoenix would trade Shawn if they could get Dampier to put in the middle and complete what would be a devastating lineup.

              GS:

              Kidd
              Dunleavy/Pietrus
              Marion
              Murphy
              Foyle

              NJ:

              Claxton
              Richardson
              Jefferson
              Williams/Robinson
              Collins

              Phoenix:

              Nash
              Q Richardson
              Joe Johnson
              Stoudamire
              Dampier

Jason Kidd met with the Nets' hierarchy at the team's practice facility yesterday and voiced his concern about the state of the team and its future direction.

According to an Eastern Conference official, Kidd did not demand a trade. However, he did not back off from the idea that he may be better off going to a team that has a legitimate chance to win a title.

Led by incoming owner Bruce C. Ratner, the Nets attempted to smooth the quasi-crisis with Kidd by pointing to next summer, when the team will have several draft picks and be under the salary cap by enough to go after a star player. The Nets may then still be in the market to fill the void left when Kenyon Martin was signed and traded to Denver.

According to a Nets official, after Kenyon Martin was dealt, Kidd asked the team to trade him.

"If Jason has any demands, I'm sure he will make them public," said Nets CEO Rod Thorn.

Kidd could be dealt to Dallas. The Mavericks are offering Antoine Walker, whose contract expires at the end of next season, in return.

Kidd has a surgically repaired knee and 5 years remaining on his maximum contract.
