I don't think anyone complained about the defense doing their job. The issue is with the court and their numerous "errors" and "leaks".

Re: What a shocker
Okay, what is this I keep hearing about her bragging at a party? Link?
I hadn't heard any of this, of course I have been out of the loop I guess. And was it anal like a previous poster suggested? I guess I am just lost here.
Either way, the way the courts have handled this has been extremely unfair to the plaintiff. It is rediculous all of the documents, and leaks that have been posted online, which further hurts the girls chance of having a fair trial, which is why I believe they are postponing the case. They are gonna let the media die down some, and then retry again in my opinion, and it is not a bad idea either.
And to the poster above who said Kobe is the one who loses because no one wants his face advertising their products, well, still he is not the victim. He brought this all upon himself by committing adultery. For a guy who can do no wrong in a lot of people's eyes, Kobe sure doesn't know his 10 Commandments. He better befor forgiveness.

I just don't see how ya'll think she's way ahead of Kobe on the "drag through the mud" radar. 99.9% of the people in the United States can pass by this girl in a grocery store and not know who she is. 99.2% can hear someone call her name, and still not know who she is.
Everyone who didn't know Kobe, now knows him as a rapist. How many moms or dads would leave Kobe alone with their daughters? How much money did he lose because no company wants his face to advertise their product?
He lost MONEY AND RESPECT because he might or might not be a rapist. She loses RESPECT and gains MONEY and she might or might not be a low life that would ruin someone's life and send them to jail for personal gain.
Either way, Kobe loses more.
"In other words Kobe will be buying the plaintiff jewelry that will make his wife jealous."
Wrong, the most she could get under Colorado law is 1.5 mil. The wife's ring cost WAY more than that.Comment

Re: What a shocker
I see no such conviction coming, since Kobe has too many weapons in the evidence.
1) Her lying about having sex around the time she was with Kobe to detectives
2) DNA from a Mr. X being on her person but not on Kobe at her rape examination
Like the poster who quoted Chappelle, "open and shut case Johnson, I've seen this once before. It seems this negro broke in and put pictures of himself and his family on the wall"Comment

Re: What a shocker
Originally posted by glucklichWell this trial was a joke. Namely when the judged ordered DNA from the past boyfriends it entered into a realm of questionable legality. Requiring them to give DNA is likely a violation of the 5th Amendment(yes I have looked into precedent cases). I know if I was a past boyfriend I would give no such DNA. And then there is the leaks Clay mentioned...and then the fact that the main prosecutor (who looks like the ultimate tool) discharges himself from the trial. I guess after being a victim of such incompetence on the part of the judge and the DA, I guess I feel like the girl deserves some remedy. Besides I never really had the feeling that it was the girl who pressed forward. From having seen the interview it seemed like the DA (hurlburt) wanted his 15 minutes of fame assuming there were any alterior motives (and not facts). It will be interesting to see what will happen if/when a OOC settlement is offered. If she doesnt take it then it might be because she wants to hang a conviction on him in addition to the financial award she might receive.
When did the judge order dna samples from the other guys? That's unconstitutional and I don't remember hearing anything about it. I know one guy agreed to do it(I assume the bellhop), but the "ex" boyfriend refused. The defense more than likely got his DNA the sneaky way, i.e. a piece of tissue paper, soda can etc.... They hire people to do that exact thing. And its allowed in court because there is no need to say who's DNA it is, just that it's not Kobe's.Comment

Re: What a shocker
Well I feel she should get a little money. Yeah but not from kobe. The state of colardo needs to penny up after all there mistakes. And as far as her sexual life is concerned she knew she couldnt stand under the microscope. Her known history paints the picture that she is fairly loose. Make it hard to convict a man of rape when the girl is known to give it up to men with no financial status and have sex with a man because he looks like a star. now she sleep with a true star a person with real money and now raped her. If i am on the jury they prosecution need to show me some real evidence other than he said she said. for me to convict.
Just my opinion A loose girl can get raped. But in this case it seems that she didn't want to go through with the accusation. she waited a while after the incident probably pumped up to do it by family member or friend knowing that kobe is married.
And i have a statement to make to any women on this site. Dont go in any hotel room with a man you do not know unless you are with a friend too. Only go to the room if you know you want to do something thats the only time you should go alone.
If you wouldnt do something with a regular joe then dont change that for a star. Everything still applies to the star they are still a man and they are still a stranger.Comment

Re: What a shocker
Good stuff from Frank Hughes on ESPN today:
I have a question: If Kobe Bryant had had sex with three different women in the days leading up to his encounter with his accuser in Colorado, would anybody even flinch?
In fact, HBO has made an entire series called "Entourage" -- which, by the way, is well worth viewing (if you are a guy, which I assume you are) -- based on the notion that four guys in Hollywood are attempting to get more tail than the Brothers Grimm.
Sleep with seven women in seven nights? Bravo. But if you are the woman accusing Kobe, and you happen to have a voracious sexual appetite, it's enough to make you think she is a criminal.
Another thing bothers me about the proceedings of the last few months: In a few years, when this trial clears up and everything is forgotten, somebody might want to check the bank account of the person who "accidentally" e-mailed the information to all the media outlets.
Oh, and since somebody in the office "accidentally" placed the name of the victim on a Web site, why is that person's name not included in all the news accounts? Shouldn't that person at least be held marginally accountable?

Re: What a shocker
most of that is just the double standard concerning sex when it comes to guys and girls. If your guy friend goes out and hits 7 different women in one day most of you here probably wouldn't call him a slut, you'd pat him on the back. Now if you had a female friend who went out and got with 7 different guys in one day, you'd call her a slut, make fun of her, etc.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
