    Re: What a shocker

celebrities do get targeted more, you are right.

I'm just thinking of it this way right now, if me, and some random celeb were to commit the exact same rape, same in every way, I'd have literally no shot of getting off, whereas the celeb would be around 50/50 at least...

You could not be more wrong on this.

Let's just take one example....let's say Child Abuse....

There are 3.2 million cases of child abuse filed in the US every year. Do you know how many of them a shown to be false accusation/allegations????

            2.3 million!!!!

That's right...2.3 million people are falsly accused of child abuse/endangerment in this country every year. How many celebrities do you know of who were?????

You're right...it's "likely" that it's more common in celebs. Oh wait...no it's not.

I don't believe Clay is actually attacking Kobe. He's not actually saying the Kobe is a slut who deserved what he gets.

                    That's where I am.

It may be OK in the American courts to degrade this girl. It ain't OK here to use locker room talk to slander an alleged rape victim.

Before you tell me I'm biased, or talk about free speech, or whatever: don't. I don't care.

"Let's just take one example....let's say Child Abuse...."

No lets not take one example, If u could use only one example for all arguments, how could you ever be wrong. especially when my argument is based on likelyhood and probability. This is when you do NOT take one example, or 2 or 3.

why do you have to skew data to sound correct. Data is whatever you present it to be.

But lets talk data, of that whatever million, what percent of them are the wealthy, common sense will make me guess that the wealthy are not well represented in there? and what are celebrities...but yeah, lets assume im wrong here...moving on...

If you have to use child abuse which is a truly unique crime that doesnt relate to your argument... let me one up you with another irrelevant crime. Lets say 100,000 people are charged with... umm....going AWOL from the Navy and 99,999 are found not guilty...what does that have to do with celebrities...but yeah, im wrong again, what does going AWOL have to do with anything?

Its laughable that you think prosecuting child abuse is the same as prosecuting most other crimes, how do you prosecute child abuse?

lets see other crimes we can use to skew the data since celebrities are not targetted for...terrorism? corporate fraud? cmon think through this...

In case you're just not reading what im saying...i'll retype my simple point

"I am less likely to be 'falsely' accused of a crime(think in context...not child abuse) than a celebrity because I dont have millions to pay out, and because any prosecutors with aspirations dont get their face in the paper"

Doesnt mean i wont be charged, and doesnt mean the celebrity will be charged in all cases, but think relative probability....

and this is my main point, reference it in any reply

I dont know too much about child abuse, but im sure its a complicated process... that "2.3million!!!!!!!" doesnt reflect
What is the real evidence here? Marks?
what is abuse? a spank? beating?
Who testifies? kids against a parent? social worker against parent after kids change their story?
what about kids who runaway and lie, forcing charges to be brought up against parents?

This is a very bad example
