Wasn't Nike willing to double his salary from them if he went to NY? Kobe will be fine in the money department. But he did hurt his team by bringing this drama into the sacred Laker lockerroom.

Re: What a shocker
Blood doesnt prove anything because we dont know how much blood was on his shirt and we dont know if the encounter was around the time she has her period. If Kobe left his shirt on while he was having sex w/ the woman its possible that bodily fluids such as blood could have been transferred to his shirt. Blood DOESNT mean that he raped her or caused the any or the majority of her injuries.Originally posted by KDREet me put my two cents in. The semen from the other two guys isnt important because it shows she had sex days after the rape, so therfore she was a slut. It matters because those injuries she claims were caused by Kobe could have been caused by the other guy or guys.
So how does this explain her blood on Kobe's shirt?Comment

Originally posted by GeePee20Yes he hurt his wife but his team??? LOL, more than 50% of the league are adulterers.
And Clay, I'm pretty sure he lost his endorsement with McDonalds, Sprite, and Gnutella. Maybe more. He's lost his title as the most marketable active athlete to LeBron.
Ont he team part, he pretty much snuck out to COL to have surgery they knew nothing about, which is when the encounter happened, and it caused alot of changes for the team in the lockerrom and on the court.Comment

Re: What a shocker
I like DRE was thinking blood would definitely hurt him but from preliminary hearing they said the blood was really miniscule and couldnt be seen from the naked eye. It was on the inside of his shirt. Also when the detectives approached him the next day he was wearing taht sam eshirt. You really think an innocent man would wear the same shirt he used to commit a brutal crime a day later while being questioned by detectives. That also must prove that Kobe didnt see the blood cause i doubt he would be wearing a shirt the next day if he knew he had blood on it. Also dont forget about how she went right back to her shioft after she was allegdly arped and was confronted by the manager who said she appeared fine and acted fine. It was not the bellboy who first saw her after the alleged rape. Also the people upstairs above Kobes room did not hear any noise. There was no marks on Kobes body to show there was a struggle as well. All this creates way too much reasonable doubt. On another note the prosecution won some small victories, as the judge did not allow her drug and alcohol problems as well as her mental health problems. I wonder if this thing is really going to go to trial.Originally posted by aholbert32Blood doesnt prove anything because we dont know how much blood was on his shirt and we dont know if the encounter was around the time she has her period. However, if you don't see the flaws in the justice system, then the system should easily find that, as you so tactfully put it, she is a slut that loves the beef. You're saying it's so clear that she was asking for it in his room, that there is no way she will win the civil suit. Then there is no victim, right?
The Justice Systems been f*cked up for a long time. A LONG time. This ain't nothin' new. Or did everyone forget the Rodney King case?Comment

Ya'll can talk about celebs getting off all the time, but MJ and Kobe's case are different. They're cred cases.
Want to talk about a group of people above the law. Start with the politicians and ceo's. A certain president comes to mind.
And cops. How many times have cops gotten off in recent years for killing innocent civilians because they "looked" suspect?Comment

Re: What a shocker
No he did not hurt his team because he didn't bring the drama. Like I said 50% of the league are adulterers so half his team is probably thinking "Wow that could have happened to me."Originally posted by driddyWasn't Nike willing to double his salary from them if he went to NY? And how was Kobe supposed to know that sneaking away would lead to him being accused of rape? I'm sure tons of players go places and do things their team has no idea about. You make it sound like if Kobe had told the Lakers he was going up to Colorado for surgery, that none of this would have ever happened.Comment
