I remember a while back I said Westbrook would win MVP and all of you guys laughed, I bet y'all are eating your words now lol.

Dudes a stud. Definitely solidifying himself as a top 3 player this season. There's no denying it.

33 points on 30 shots with 6 turnovers, a few coming in key situations doesn't scream Top 3 player. He's not a top 3 player. Has never been one and never will be.

Yeah I've been a big Westbrook supporter from jump, but top 3 is a stretch.

I made the statement in the other thread I made, and I'll make it here too, as a thunder fan, all I have to say is keep being impressed by his athleticism, because it is only impressive in the regular season, and hey, if you want to give him an MVP go ahead, but he'll never have a ring on his finger playing the way he plays. He's too much of a black hole in the offense. Can you blame the coach? Maybe, but every time Westbrook posts one of his 30-7-7 games people freak out and ignore the fact that this dude can't play point guard.

When you have the reigning NBA MVP a guy who has the potential to be the greatest scorer of all-time on your team, you need to get him the ball simple as that.

There's a certain black hole that plays in the West that has 5 rings... Also, you need to give some of that blame to KD. Obviously he should have the ball when it matters, but he needs to go get open/demand the ball up top. Not sit on the wing letting RW do whatever he wants.

He's falling in love with the jump shot. Which may or may not fall directly on him, but more so having something to do with Adams being in the starting linuep, and an attempt to spread the floor with Ibaka at the 4, but it's definitely hurting his production not only scoring the basketball, but rebounding as well.

And yes you can see it in his shooting. Ibaka has made a living by operating generally from the free throw line in, where he has shot roughly 60-63%. This year, Serge is taking 22% more shots from the 3 point line than he ever has in career where he is shooting 37%, which certainly isn't bad, but when you are accustomed to a guy scoring at nearly a 56% clip, and he drops nearly 10% from the field, it's going to look like something is wrong. In addition, he is rebounding at the lowest rate he ever has, and again, this can be attributed to him being taken away from the basket more often this year with Adams emerging as a starter and Ibaka playing less minutes at center.

I was gonna make this exact point, he's falling in love with jumpshots and he's floating around the 3 point line way too much.

Regarding Westbrook, I think people need to step dissecting the guy to the 1000th degree, it's getting crazy man. The dude is a stud and there is no way OKC would be as good without him. He isn't a normal point, but that doesn't make him any less of a player(best believe most points today aren't true point guards). There are a lot of guards that are just small scorers(Irving, Rose, etc.). It's a medium that a lot guys can't find but Westbrook does well enough to get the job done. He isn't the reason they can't get past the West Finals most years, it's their damn team structure. They barely have anyone to take the heat off of Durant and Westbrook. Trading Jeff Green for Kendrick Perkins and James Harden for Jeremy Lamb & Steven Adams can do that to a squad.

RWB has no buffer and thats on the coach. He has no clue what to do so he just says let him do whatever he wants.

Other than that he's a very good player in this league all star and all of that good stuff and any team would probably love to have him.
