It's due out today. Anyone picking this game up? I might pick it up later this week. I need my basketball fix until 2K3 and Drive come out.

i also need a fix, havent bought an NBA game for 2 years cause i hated NBALive 01-02 and 2K2 never made it to Aust.

Beginning in the Summer Pro League, your created persona works his way up from the authentically licensed team of backups through the NBDL minor league system, until finally reaching the status of "NBA player". Once he's in the show he better be good too, because if he falters too much or doesn't perform to his expected level, it's back to the minors for you. I've been watching the movies at ign, and the game seems very playable. I doesn't appear graphically to compete with NBA2K3 or Live, but to me last year Live was unplayable, so I'll give Shootout a rental on Friday.
