For starters put Marbury on the bench. He is absoutely worthless in international play and has no idea how to run a team. I would start Wade, AI, Carmelo, Odom, Duncan. Melo would start because he can knock down jumpers, and I think RJ would bring more energy off the bench. Give Okafor some run, he can block shots down low and rebound. Another thing is USA should be full court pressing the whole game. We have plently of depth where you can sub out players if they get tired. We are the most athletic team in the olympics and this would play to our strengths more.

i wouldnt say it's lack of heart but it's lack of skills. all teams are playing them under the basket guarding them form the layups and dunks and the only wa aroudn it is if US had perimeter shooting which they dont. It's not heart, im sure msot of them got it but its the lack of skills these players hold. Their not quite a team yet. You can't blame the players we have now because their not even the best players we have in the United States and their competing against THE BEST in other countries.Comment

Wanna fix the current team? Tell Iverson to be a ball hog. Only he and Tim Duncan are allowed to hold the ball for more than a second. Iverson drives and either shots or drops it off to Duncan who then powers it home. Stop taking threes. 3-24? That is ridiculous. Play international defense. Why is it so hard for NBA players to collapse to the basket? Swiss cheese has less holes than the American's defense. Hey guys? It's called a full court press. You used to use it in college. No way do you start Melo. Other than the first 2 games, he has been worthless. You either start Lebron or Marion, both of who have played excellent thus far. Marion brings a lot of energy to the floor, and Lebron has gotten everyone involved, and makes the right decisions. The lineup should be:
Wade
Lebron
Iverson
Marion
Duncan
