Re: Lets fix this current USA Team

College means getting to class on time, and doing your homework, it means having discipline and a willingness to learn. Something most of this team doesn't have. That's why they didnt' go to big time colleges (Barring Omeka Okefor).
Melo left after a year, AI left after 2, Lebron was too stupid for college, Sean Marion went to UNLV post Tarkanian.
Except Tim Duncan, most of this team is worthless and couldn't function in a league that didn't have paid off refs that don't call travelling or fouls or 3 seconds in the key or double dribbles, or over and backs, etc. etc. etc.
Uconn would just DOMINATE this "Dream Team" in the olympics because this "Dream Team" is a bunch of overpaid uneducated gangster wannabes.Comment

Re: Lets fix this current USA Team
Originally posted by wtferrellNo way do you start Melo. Other than the first 2 games, he has been worthless. You either start Lebron or Marion, both of who have played excellent thus far. Marion brings a lot of energy to the floor, and Lebron has gotten everyone involved, and makes the right decisions. The lineup should be:
Wade
Lebron
Iverson
Marion
Duncan
With that lineup, they would be a very potent team with a lot of different options.Comment

Re: Lets fix this current USA Team
Marion, Lebron, Melo and Odom are not the same type of player. Melo want's his own stats. That is all he is after. Lebron wants to get the team involved and to win. That is what he is after. Marion gets out there and brings the energy every night, and like Lebron, just wants to win. Odom can be an inside/outside threat. He can shoot the jumper, and go inside and get his points.
Lebron's jumper is ugly. It isn't really that bad when he goes straight up on his shot instead of fading away, but that is very rarely. Basically his game is going out and getting involved in the offense, and scoring points if he needs to, or passing and running the offense if he needs to.
I completely forgot Odom whenever I made my lineup, and he should be there instead of Marion with Shawn coming off of the bench to provide a spark.
Until Melo plays "Larry Brown" basketball, he doesn't need to be on the court. Marbury and Jefferson are two other great examples of not needing to be on the court. Amare Stoudemire doesn't see the court enough for me to know what he is capable of if given minutes, but I think that with Duncan and Amare down low, then we have a pretty good post presence.
I will give judgement tomorrow after watching the game with Greece. Hopefully we come to play this time.Twitter - WTF_OS
