P.S. it just came out and probably isnt in stores yet. If you're just assuming it sucks because of it being made by 989, It's your loss. Maybe it is good.

If anything it's only been a few hours since you got it when you rented it. I'd do anything to get a chance to play a new version of any Basketball game with accurate rosters.

IGN gave it a 7 something and I've heard from several other people who have played it on other boards that it is a good game. They don't proclaim it as being better than NBA 2k3 but who expected it to be? So far you are in the minority about this one. And I hope for your reputation that you've played the game before posting this.

It came out today silly people. I could write a thesis on why this game sucks... let's start with:

1. Control
2. Control
3. Control

I don't really care about the graphics or the audio that much in the grand scheme of things, nor do I care about any extraneous features as long as the core game is fun.

Oh and I forgot:

4. "Freestyle" control ... those w/ the game will understand and feel my pain.

So everyone... Please buy it! buy 10 copies each!

I bought it today and played it also and it is bad. I'm too lazy to go into a laundry list of issues but the game is not good. I read the IGN review and he seems to make to much out of the fact that the game is better than the last edition. The last edition was wretched so just because this edition is just bad doesn't make it worth playing. Obviously if your a basketball junkie that wants everygame go pick it up but after playing a few games, 989 still is way behind the other games.
