Yeah we just have to see. They look poised....they've been together for awhile which is a major plus. ..chemistry and familiarity is there. It's a matter of out executing 3 western conference teams then one in the east. That's tough no matter who you are.

The Cavs have started playing defense, and the results haven't been kind to the other teams.
Also, I know they gave up a lot or whatever, but I think getting rid of Waiters has been invaluable to this team. Especially since they got a good defensive center and a guy who is literally doing a bunch of positive things for the Cavaliers right now.Too Old To Game Club

I beleive even indy had 10 losses already by now, or were at least close to to 10, warriors are stuck on 6. But i do agree with the overall point your making, which is why i said i expect a drop off to some degree by them. But even still the warriors look really good. Imo there the only team that wouldnt mind seeing okc in the first round. Tho i dont like there offense, i still give okc credit for being a contender, so from me at least, thats saying something that i beleive they COULD(tho its not likely)dispatch okc in less than 7. IF, they continue to play this well. I still think memphis and san antonio could beat them tho.Lakers

The coaching staff is a big reason that I'm so optimistic for them being able to execute in the playoffs. But, like you said, we really just have to wait and see how it unfolds.

Getting relatively healthy was more important imo. There is too much talent on that roster to be mediocre. Once they start getting comfortable that should take the next step. The Cavs have started playing defense, and the results haven't been kind to the other teams.

Agree about getting healthy, but I think a trade was needed as well, especially for a big man. We essentially got JR, Mozgov, and Shumpert for Dion and a 1st. All three fill a need and have helped balance the roster so far(hopefully Shumpert can be that 3 and D player). Blatt shortening his rotation and the adjustments defensively have been solid as well.Comment

I don't disagree there, especially after Varaejo went down, but that team needed the "big 3" healthy first foremost. They've played so little together this year which is bad news for guys that have never played together before. That's another reason why I thought Blatt would be fine (although that's still up for debate). The Cavs have been a different team when all 3 have been healthy, and it obviously takes a while for a brand new coach & teammates to get adjusted.Agree about getting healthy, but I think a trade was needed as well, especially for a big man. I haven't been watching much bball lately but what type of things does he do that makes him dirty? Not arguing that he's not, just wondering.Comment

From the responses I've seen from numerous players, he hits me as a guy who likely pokes and prods a little - small things like an slightly over-long holds, strategically placed arms, elbows, and hands. That kind of stuff. He doesn't hit me as malicious. Rather, it appears he's cut from the cloth of someone who understands how to wreak havoc mentally without trying to make it an "I'm tougher than you" situation.Comment

Yep, they sometimes get lumped into the same category. I had that reputation during my high school playing days. It was never about hurting or harming someone - more so just finding small things that would lead a particular player toward making it about more than the game. Sometimes would just be holding a player's wrist for no reason whatsoever away from the ball. Random stuff. It builds, until someone eventually responds.Comment

Yeah, I remember guarding the best player in our conference in HS. Whenever we were standing or barely moving I would tug on his shirt... never did it when he was cutting or going full speed, would always let go before then. But otherwise I made him feel that I was going to hold him from moving. He was a hot head so it definitely got under his skin.Yep, they sometimes get lumped into the same category. That OKC-DC game was a fun one to be at last night, especially watching the 2nd half.#RespectTheCultureComment
