my little cousin destroyed my xbox......i was gonna get a new one on fri then i started seeing all these games for ps2 like gta vice city. i never owned a ps2....never really played one...i wanna know is there as big of a differance in graphics between the 2 systems as i think....is it noticable....someone who has experienced playing the same game for the two systems or has both help me out.

Yes there is a big differance, If your a Sports gamer then get a new Xbox.. Better yet go rent a PS2 at Blockbuster for a week and give it a work out ... -

graphics are better on the xbox, but i personally like the controller for PS2 much better, i love the top 4 shoulder buttons, the xbox controller is just too clunky for meComment

it would be kinda dumb to buy a ps2 right now....i mean...i have one and keepin it for a few games down the road...but if i didnt have one...i wouldnt buy one now...its slowly losing its luster....get another xbox and just rent a ps2 for the few games they have commin out that u might wanna playComment

The graphics are better.
It isn't like it's a completely different visual experience, though.
The moderately better graphics don't come close to making up the lack of quality exclusive games on XBOX.
Halo is terrific, but there is nothing else that I would care to touch with a 10 foot pole.Comment

I think the sports games are generally better on the Xbox. Halo's excellent, and while there haven't been that many great games on the Xbox, there are quite a few coming up. Hopefully they don't turn out to be disappointments though. The PS2 is really good too though. I've got both and I play one or the other depending on whatever I feel like. Sports games I generally play on the Xbox though. I like the Xbox controller a lot better than the PS2 controller. It feels more sturdy, and it's much more comfortable for me. the PS2 controller seems too small in my hands when I hold it now, after holding the Xbox controller. Same with the Gamecube controller when I've played it at the demo booths in stores.Comment

I agree. XBOX isn't going anywhere.
The PS2 just has exclusive games that I prefer.(GTA Vice)
If you mainly play sports games, then you probably want an xbox.(though it would stink for you if xbox didn't get MM this year, unless you don't have plans to get it)Comment

The xbox is clearly capable of having better graphics and AI power than the PS2. The only question is if the gamemakers will take advantage if this, because the xbox sales shouldnt be anywhere close to the PS2. Here in Europe the price of the xobx is dropping faster than the knickers on a 2 dollar ho'. It's priced at about US$130 now. The same price the DeamCast dropped to AFTER it was discontinued. This must be the first time in world history we get a console cheaper then the US.
