      Kevin Durant

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Kevin Durant underwent a minor procedure to help reduce pain and discomfort in his surgically repaired right foot, according to Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti

Durant will be re-evaluated in a week. The expectation is he will return to play in the regular season.

"There's no new injury that's been created," Presti said. "It's just a matter of discomfort."

Durant underwent a procedure in October to repair a Jones fracture in his right foot. According to Presti, the fracture is healing as expected, but a screw inserted at the fifth metatarsal during the original procedure is rubbing against another bone, the cuboid bone, in another area, causing soreness and discomfort.

"Some pain in or around that cuboid bone is not unusual," Presti said. "It's actually somewhat expected during the recovery process. But in Kevin's case, it wasn't scaling down the level we had anticipated or the level the physicians had anticipated. So the next step would be to look at some other alternatives, which led us to this procedure."

Man, the Hawks play stifling defense. I'm not sure how many TO's the Buckeroos had, but I'm sure it was plenty.

Richard Jefferson just DUNKED ALL OVER MKG and the refs called an offensive foul for nothing.

Dunk of the year candidate imo

There's the dunk for people who missed it (like me ). You're right, dunno what they're doing calling an offensive foul for that, lol

Nice debut for Amare tonight. 14 points on 5-8 shooting, went 4-4 from the line, and grabbed 3 rebounds.

That's an example where the "turned back the clock" phrase is actually appropriate. Rather than when Kobe does a dunk Matt Bonner could do lol.

I know it's just Lakers/Celtics so who really cares, but what an absolute disgrace of an officiating job in this game. For Isaiah Thomas to get ejected the way he did in a close game like this off some trash like what he got T'd up for? Ridiculous.

Yup it was ridiculous. Good debut for him though.

Ainge has gotta put together a better squad next year, i can't be watching Evan Turner for another full season.

They should just ask Jason Kidd about Tony Brothers lol.

Like, I don't even know where the travel happened. So NBA refs can spot a travel on Thomas there but nobody saw the problem here?
