    Shaq wants Williams...

Very good trade for the Heat in my opinion. I seriously doubt that the Grizzlies would part with Williams though. Just my .02 cents.

Miami needs to do everything they can to pull this trade so my boy J-Dub can get a ring.

it has been reported in Memphis for a year or so now that West doesn't like Wells and Williams. This might not be that farfetched. Posey is West's love child, don't know if he would easily trade him.

The article from the Miami Herald everyone is citing also says that Damon Jones and Keyon Dooling could be used to sweeten the pot. That proves there is no legs to this whole thing. Dooling and Jones can't be traded until December because they just signed contracts in July. It's another bogus rumor that some bored writer made up.

It does only apply to packaged trades. You see though that Dallas packaged Laettner up and traded him before his 60 days were up, and the trade went through, but couldnt be finalized until the 60 days were up.

That was from a trade though, not a FA signing. Also, the Dallas deal hasn't happened yet. But it can now, because Laettner's 60 days expired today.
