But sucks to see Amir go. They're likely replacing him with a better player, but he was one of those fan fave players who really loved the city,so will suck to see him go.

Raptors got 20M in luxury cap space left to sign a starting PF,backup C and then 11-12th men on the bench(aka prob just min salary guys). So I could see them going after a PF for around 15M or so. Get a backup C for around 4-5M.

I think it's gonna be 20M, I have no idea how the D-League salaries work since Bebe/Bruno are almost for sure gonna be in D-League for most if not entire season.

I don't know for sure but i would have to guess Aldridge could smell the desperation on Mitch and whoever gave the pitch.

They have two more years to make the Lakers better or Jenny Buss supposed to change personnel.

      Don't do anything drastic.

Year two of Johnson and Jerebko deals with Celtics are non-guaranteed. Like both deals even more now.

How many times have you posted this now lol

They have 20m to sign a starter somewhere and a tall guy. Everything else is extraneous. That number is 30m if you trade Demar. I really would not be worried

Spurs got 54M in luxury cap space right now. After the Leonard/Green signings,it's now 25M I believe. Duncan/Manu combined I think would be 25M. So don't know if they'd even have enough for Aldridge, unless they have no problem going over the luxury cap by quite abit. Or maybe are able to trade Diaw somewhere and clear up 7.5M in salary.

The Jerebko contract like it. He's a nice little player. 5 million a year is fine for him. Now that 2nd year of Johnson's contract love that. Next Brendan Haywood right there.

                      It's a tapatalk issue unfortunately.

It's weird because I can see every other tweet posted here but I think that's because they're copying and pasting it here.

                      Weird.

LaMarcus Aldridge will not be joining the Lakers, The Times has learned. They were a 50-50 choice but he disliked bball part of presentation

As @Mike_Bresnahan says, Aldridge felt too much of Lakers presentation focused on outside opportunities; wanted clearer, better b-ball focus

Come on LA, you know you want to live in the desert, perfect mix of bball focus and having an outside life.

I think it's been reported that Duncan and Ginobili will take around $6 mil each to fit Aldridge in, and the Leonard/Green contracts won't be signed until after Aldridge signs so that they can take advantage of their cap holds. It appears to be doable now.

How are they getting overpaid if the cap is spiking? When the cap goes up next year, they're basically going to be making the equivalent of what they'd be getting if the cap wasn't jumping up by about 20 or 30 million dollars.

Which btw, Ramona Shelbourne was on the radio here and saying with the cap jumping, basically all 30 teams will have money to spend as a result. So in theory (even though we know there'll only be a select few places he goes) almost every team in the league will have the cap space to sign Kevin Durant next year.
