Delly hasn't signed yet, I know. He's looking for $4M to come back, but as of this evening, he's not signed.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I know they have his Bird Rights, but I was under the impression that just having the Bird Rights to a player didn't allow you to still spend obscene amounts of money bringing in guys not on your roster and then re-signing your guys. The Cavs are already at about 99 million in salary, meanwhile the luxury tax is 84.74 million. I thought the whole idea was not being able to use the bird rights if you've already spent all the money you were going to give to those players. They still haven't officially signed Thompson or Delly either.Comment

The nature of the rule is to have the ability to sign your own player, regardless of the cap if I'm not mistaken....it's just going to cost you:..Comment

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Yea this is true. The rule was created so the Celtics could go over the cap to resign Larry Bird, thus called Bird rightsComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
And could you imagine the ****storm the social media frenzy feeders would be in today if a team made a special rule just so a team could keep/get a certain player lol.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I honestly think it would depend on the team. Cleveland doing something like that to save Lebron 95% of the NBA fanbase would be pissed. But a team like MIL doing it to retain MCW or someone like that I don't think the majority would be all upset.Comment
