Get the whole hell outta here with this TK lol. Bernstein has a personal agenda against Rose, but that fits what you need it to fit so of course let's roll with it. We know everything about Thibs apparently on the way out down to ****ing facilities getting bugged, but nobody anywhere has a single thing to say about Rose and Butler apparently beefing in the backcourt until four days AFTER the Bulls have been eliminated from the playoffs in embarrassing fashion? I need you to be smarter than this man.

Raptors fired assistant coaches Bill Bayno, and Tom Sterner
      ()

Rumors that they're targeting Monty Williams for job as assistant coach.

Don't think those moves will really make much difference for Raptors. Problems for Raptors is defense, lack of veteran presence, and C depth. None of which requires any sort of coaching change.

Defense would take care of itself if they would just start Hansbrough and James Johnson. But with nobody in the lineup being a good shooter I'm sure that won't happen.. Though some teams make it work.

Could let Williams, Ross, Amir/Patterson be the scoring options off the bench. They would still have the scoring they need.

I honestly don't see a need for the "depth" that the team currently has. Ross/Johnson/Fields at SF, DeRozan/Vasquez/Williams at guards, Patterson/Amir/Tyler at PF..

They could ship out a trio of say Vasquez, Amir, Ross and actually get another solid center or really good starting small forward.. If nothing else try to move up in the draft.

What about something along the lines of Vasquez for McDermott, and Ross, Amir, and their first to move up and try to draft a guy like WCS or Porzingis.. I'm just thinking out loud.

Vasquez would let the Bulls move away from Hinrich, and the Raptors need shooting.. I still think McDermott will end up being a Mike Miller/Wally S type of guy, with even the possibility of Korver like shooting off screens. But I know lots aren't that high on him.

Dunno if the Spurs would trade Danny Green but that would be a nice addition as well.. Ross & Amir for him or something along those lines.

The Raptors also need someone to mentor and develop Jonas Val. That guy should be an absolute monster in the NBA, a guy who shuts down the paint on defense, and wreaks havoc on offense. Instead, he's just kind of there, shooting jumpers and being incredibly average.

I actually think shipping out Lowry/DeRozan might be the best move right now.. I don't think this core is going to accomplish much more than they have. They could build around JV, whichever they keep between Lowry/DeRozan, and whatever new piece the bring in.

Lowry maybe. DeRozan? I'd give him a little more time. I think he is still a very quality wing player.

I've never been firm a believer of the Raptor's roster.

Personally I feel that they are the Atlanta Hawks sans the '14-15 season.

                  Re: 2015 Offseason Thread

At least they're making the playoffs, so that's still progress over what they've been doing for majority of years from 2003-2013(only making it 2 times in that span). People always say if Raptors want to attract FA,they have to at least win and make playoffs, I think that's really what they should be doing right now. Not going through another kind of rebuild or anything.

I think Amir could be gone,or at very least, going to just be a bench player. His ankles seem to be in bad shape which hurts him and the team during later parts of seasons.

I wouldn't call what oj said about SF,as them having depth. Fields will be gone,Ross can't match up against other starting SF in the league. Johnson is a good option off the bench though. I'd try and trade Ross + draft pick and get a better SF.

No need to trade Lowry or DeRozan. Sure, when they struggle,it hurts the team ALOT,but really..how many better options will there be to replace those guys down the road, and at as affordable of a contract as the Raptors are getting those 2 guys for? Just over 20M combined for those 2...sounds like a steal for 2 all star level players.

Yeah, I'd be hesitant to give up on DeRozan already, but if the offer's right, I think it might be wise. At the end of the day, he's currently an inefficient scorer that doesn't bring much else to the table, but his perceived value might be higher than it should be.

At the same time though, I'd be hesitant to blow things up because they're far better than they've been since Bosh left.

Not sure what exactly the deal would be, but in my head, I think that Toronto and Boston could be trade partners.

I just want LA and Miami to get moved out of the Top 5 and Top 10 so Philly can get their picks.

And for OKC to not move up. Please don't let OKC move up.
