Not including the last play his play last night was terrible. 3 blocked shots in the first quarter? Terrible shot selection to boot. Then that major bull-travel that somehow went uncalled. Dude is just lacking this year. I don't know what he was on in the Bulls series last year, but its clear that is the exception to the rule.

Absolute must win tonight for the Cavs. They need to close out the Bulls tonight, not give them any hope or go into a game 7 where anything can happen. They need to play with urgency and purpose. There is also the added incentive of getting extra rest if they win tonight, rather than going to a game 7.Too Old To Game Club

I guess I was wrong about Bulls in 6. Cavs need to close it out tonight.

As much as it comes down to 1 play it really doesn't. We lost the game in the 3rd qtr when we turned it over like crazy. Execution down the stretch was lacking too. Props to the Hawks though, they stepped up the defensive intensity. If they win Game 6 and the Cavs close out the Bulls I think they beat the short-handed Cavs.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Possibly the last game of the season for us and it makes me sad. I really hope Pau is really ready to go and can be the guy he was in game 1. We need all hands on deck tonight and we have to be ready for the inevitable run of non-missing three balls that are going to come from LeBron, Kyrie, JR, Shump and James Jones. Wouldn't even surprise me if the corpse of Mike Miller gets thrown out there for his yearly one day shot party. If it doesn't happen tonight, it'll most definitely come Sunday if we take it to game 7.
Derrick has to continue to attack. Force the issue and go right at that Cavs defense. Force the refs to give us some calls for a change. Taj has to keep his head and look to redeem himself tonight. It's still horse**** that he got thrown out of that game, but Taj can't allow himself to get sucked into stuff like that. Niko has to finally step up in this series. He wanted the playing time, everyone has fought and clamored for him to get that PT and now it's time to pay off. Dunleavy needs to get going early. When he starts knocking down his shots early it sets a tone for us and it makes the rest of the game so much easier for Derrick, Jimmy and Pau. He can't be scenery for three and a half quarters again before deciding to make his presence felt. Finally, for the love of god Tom, get Tony Snell out there and stop torturing us with this Kirk Hinrich stuff. I'll give Kirk props for knocking down that corner 3 during that last run in game 5, but that's literally the only thing of note he's done all series. Outside of that all he's done is be the guy running into the picture 3 seconds after JR or Shump or Kyrie have already fired off a three pointer that inevitably hits nothing but net. If this is it, I'd rather go down knowing we did everything possible to get back to Cleveland than knowing Kirk Hinrich was out there for another 20 damn minutes getting abused by everybody he "guarded" in route to another loss that we could have won with a tweak like benching him.Comment

I was really hoping the Wiz and Bulls would reunite for the ECF this year. Shame that both will probably be sitting at home, though.

Bulls still need something out of Brooks. Not a ton but at least be better than Dellavedova of all people. Rose looks too tired to attack late in the 4th, probably because he's playing 40-45 minutes a night.. Brooks needs a stretch or two of productive play so Rose can at least be somewhat fresh in the 4th.. The floaters aren't going to get it done, he needs to be aggressive and explosive.

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
I would post some long post about what we need to do, but I'm so deflated by the fact that we've actually been forced into a elimination game by this particular Cleveland team, I just don't have the energy.
Hope we lose by about 60 tonight so I can be spared the angst of watching a Game 7 ref rape fest in Cleveland on Sunday.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Just look at it like a fresh start.. All they need to do is go 2-0. That's not so bad

Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
Bulls are definitely capable of winning two straight, they have a lot of fight left....
I think what they need to do has been well said, but they can't let a dude on one leg drop 25 on them again....an efficient 25 at that.Comment
