Btw, Blair was ejected for the same thing last year. Splitter sat on his feet and he gave a little "extra" swinging his legs up to get loose and was ejected.

OJ stop man, just stop. It wasn't even close to the same thing. DeJuan flat out kicked Splitter in the head.

Even if it was the same thing, it wouldn't make it right to do the same stupid **** a year later ejecting someone. They both should have been hit with techs and done with it. Taj has a history of knee and ankle problems and a guy locking up his leg is going to get a reaction out of him. Looking at a slow mo replay trying to say his leg was loose so he didn't have to free himself is a load of crap. When Taj was pulling his foot up, Delly is holding on so tight that he's pulled off the damn ground. Yes, as Taj pulls his leg back to kick Delly off him, Delly let's go. It's in the same instance that he's pulling his leg back. Delly knew what he was doing, that's why he let go when he did. He was being a bitch and he got off for it and it cost the Bulls down the stretch. Reason they lost? No, wouldn't go that far. But with Pau already out, losing Taj and having TT feasting on Niko and Dunleavy for even more rebounds doesn't help. I'd bet that board that Noah couldn't get to in the closing seconds might have gone different if Taj is there. But whatever, it happened, they didn't get it done, onto the next one. But this nonsense trying to defend Taj being ejected for Delly being a bitch is ridiculous. This is the last I'm going to say on the matter unless the NBA compounds their stupidity and suspends Taj tomorrow like some people seem to be speculating is a possibility.

On another note, I have to give LeBron his props. That block on Rose was huge. That would have tied the game and who knows how things play out after that.

Blair didn't kick half as hard as Taj.. It was more like his foot love tapped his head lol. But if course it's not the same thing since it was a leg and not the top of his head.. In basketball it matters where you kick someone on how it's called.

League rule is excessive and unnecessary contact is a flagrant 2 and automatic ejection... Whether Delly knew what he was doing or not Taj lost his cool and kicked him, which is by definition a flagrant 2.. There is no arguing that man. Whether we think it was worthy of an ejection or not is debatable for sure, I wouldn't have just ejected him.. But it was a flagrant 2, and a flagrant 2 is an automatic ejection no matter how bad we think it is.

Taj's leg came free man, plain as day. He never had to kick forward. Delly definitely caused the reaction, but Taj never had to react, that's on him regardless of his leg history... Like I said this is just like someone grabbing your jersey, it's on you not to use your cool and go swinging at their arm.

At the start of the fourth quarter of Game 5 of the Bulls-Cavaliers series, Aaron Brooks cut to the basket to put a floater over Tristan Thompson. Matthew Dellavedova was boxing out Taj Gibson, who shoved Dellavedova to the floor. Gibson then appeared to…

These vines give a pretty good view. From the first angle it looks like his foot even went as far as kicking his butt/lower back area, though you can't tell for sure.... And the second is close enough to clearly see his foot come loose before the kick.

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread

Kyrie finally started making his open looks, and LeBron did a much better job of finishing the easy ones and hitting open shots. Jimmy still baiting him into too many long jumpers though, but overall much better. Needs to keep hitting the easy ones and finishing aggressively instead of the crap he was doing early in the series.

Chicago can't go stretches where Dunleavy is the biggest offensive threat like tonight in either the 3rd or early 4th, can't remember... Rose can't take 24 shots to give 16 points and they need Pau Gasol to play. Idk how serious Rose's wrist thing is but he needs to chill with all the floaters and attack more aggressively, IMO.

Snell needs to get some more burn as much as possible over Kirk/Niko.. And when Cleveland goes small with LeBron at the 4 I would put Jimmy at the 4 and match small back with Snell in, or let Taj guard LeBron or whoever is the SF if they want to stay "big".. Mirotic is horrible in help defense, let's guys go right by him on the hedge and usually fouls them.. Also he isn't shooting for **** or rebounding well, though he's money from behind half court lol. If Gasol is back I probably wouldn't play Niko much, let Snell have the SF/SG spot off the bench and a duo of Taj/Gasol/Noah in as the PF/C.

This is all great...assuming that Gasol and Taj are able to play in game 6.

Neither is a given right now, although I'd be shocked if Gasol didn't even attempt to suit up in an elimination game. But, I said I'd be shocked if he didn't play in game 5 and he didn't.

Chicago fans would have torn into Rose if he did that type of mess. Gasol couldn't even dress in a uniform he was so hurt? Something not right there, kind of soft.

The last few pages of this thread have been hilarious to read.

Bulls Fans vs Cav Fan vs LeBron Only Fams. I guess OSU has taken BTH's place this year as the only difference and OJ is still the same as he was before.

This series has changed my impression of dc. You guys are much better offensively then i thought, because i already knew you could play defense. I had no idea you guys could shoot the three at this rate and percentage. Double digit threes almost every game is impressive. I still believe we will in 6, but i was completely wrong about this series.

Nah. That had nothing to do with it. Haha. My suspicion is that there was a disagreement between carroll and bud so carroll decided not to go in. But, thats just my feeling from watching them for the last 2 years, and looking at carroll's body language at the end and after the game. It wasnt a physical issue.
