You expect Wall to be out for 3 of the next 4 games?

Was thinking the same thing, lol. The #1 seed should at least win one of two at home, but I wouldn't be pounding my chest too much about beating a team without their best all around player.

LOL. I'm shocked any Hawks fan feels good about the series after this game. The Wiz were in the game and had a decent shot to win if it wasnt for them getting ice cold in the 4th. Look at all the things that happened and the Wiz were still in the game.

        - Gortat foul trouble
        - Nene being a negative on both sides of the court
        - Wittman's bad rotation. (I have no idea why he continues to play Seraphin and now Temple. The better PG option was Bynum because the Wiz needed scoring last night and Temple is an absoulte zero on O)

        and

        - THE WIZARDS BEST AND MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER MISSING THE GAME.

With that said, the Wiz have Home Court and Wall will have 5 days to rest his wrist/hand. In these two games, there is nothing that I've seen from the Hawks that scares me.

Only reason I can think of playing Temple over Bynum is because he decided to go with the known over the unknown(as far as contributions to the team this year). Wouldn't be the 1st or 2nd Coach do to that.

I completely get your point but Randy has to recognize that Temple wasnt adding anything. Especially being that Temple is coming off of an injury. This is the type of game that you throw **** at the wall and see if it sticks. If you lose, you still have home court. Bynum is a solid offensive player and they couldve used an extra offensive spark last night.

              I agree, in theory.

But when it comes to the Playoffs, you know each possession becomes more important, especially the deeper you advance since it doesn't take much to get your team a spark to go on a run.

Not defending his decision, just thinking of reasons as to why he went that way.

Isn't a lot of this also true in the reverse for the Hawks in game one minus missing their best player.

But it's not like it's supposed to be a blowout either way. It's the playoffs with two very good teams.

Not really. I dont recall any significant Hawks player getting into foul trouble in games 1 or 2 other than Antic (who is probably their 6 or 7th best player)

Their bigs have played well most of the series and Bud's rotation has been solid.

They had a cold 4th quarter in Game 1 so thats similar. My point is people who were saying that the Hawks were going to win in 5 and just walk through the Wiz are off base. The Wiz showed that even without their best player, they can still compete.

I've always thought the Wiz would win in 6 so I've always thought it would be a close series.

Not saying you're wrong (you're probably right but that's actually not good, lol) but that'd make more sense with playing Nene so much while Humphries doesn't even get a minute. I'm assuming he's still not completely healthy bc as much as I'm proud of Gooden, there's no reason he should be given as many minutes as he is (and add Seraphin) with Humphries not playing at all.

I feel like Humpries and Tempe are kind of in the same situation in terms of injury, known, etc. but who knows what he was thinking. Consistently coaching well is not something anyone's ever said about Randy. It was good to see how they played on the road without Wall so I won't nitpick too much.

Lebron needs to come out aggressive tonight. He needs to abuse Butler in the post.

Horford was in foul trouble in game 1 since you brought it up, but thats not why we lost. Bullets won game 1 because they played better. Just like we did last night.

All this we be ironed out by game 5. We will at least steal 1 if not both games in dc. Yall hit 12 threes at over 50 percent from deep, and we stillI won by 16. I will take that. Bullets are a good team that plays good defense. I see them avg. about 95 or 96 pts per game in this series just like they did vs. Us in reg season. If we can score 100 vs that good defense in both games, we will reclaim homecourt advantage.

                          IT'S THE WIZARDS. This isn't 1996.

Just going to ignore that there is a possibly that the reason you played better is because the other teams best player wasn't on the floor. Ok.

Wall is an elite player. But, we will win in 5 or 6 regardless. Bullets wont score enough with or without him, but i do think wall will continue to dominate our pgs. He is a well deserved all star, but they werent winning game 2 either way.

You mean the excuses you wrapped around "but they just played better so I'll give them their due" after game 1? There were definitely a lot of excuses then.
