Don't know about LeBron individually, but I am definitely shocked at how well the Cav's have played defensively....their rotations have been pretty sharp...and TT and Mosgov have protected the rim pretty well. Makes me wonder how Love would've impacted the defense.

Love was great at taking charges, definitely would have drawn some more fouls on Chicago's bigs.

Yeah, he could turn into a foul magnet at times too though, so I'm not sure....

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread

Gonna see what we're really made of tonight. I'm cautiously optimistic believe it or not. As a Bulls fan, I think my team can take anybody in these playoffs. However the realest in me thinks we're not going to win two straight games against this team.

That said, if we're going to do this thing, it has to start tonight. Every game is a must win this time of year, but this one is that much more important to take. There's a much better chance of pulling out this series winning game 5 in Cleveland and closing things out at home in game 6 as opposed to trying to survive a close out game at home in 6 and then trying to pull out more magic and survive a game 7 on the road.

Mike and Niko have to be better. If we're going to pull this out, those guys are going to have to knock down their shots when they come. 1-7 and 1-9 isn't going to cut it. Those guys are going to have to step it up here. Mike especially. He's played well this series and in the playoffs as a whole, but he can't have any more of these games where he misses everything he throws up and walks away with 4 points.

Mike needs to take smarter shots overall. He's been forcing a lot of semi-bad looks.. But he's been on somewhat of a roll this post season so I guess it's warranted. Niko hasn't played well this series.

Mike's missed a few open looks too which has got to change. You get open looks in this series, you need to drain them. Niko, I can't even been too mad at because he's barely played in the series outside of games 3 and 4 which is an indictment on Thibs, but he's out of here whenever we hit 4 losses in a series anyway apparently.

Brooks is gonna have to hit some shots too in his limited miutes. He didnt shoot well last game. Offensively i think chicago needs to pick up the pace. They play too slow at times and get stagnant with there half court offense. That had alot to do with there inability to score in the 4th, last game. I know thibs prefers slow halfcourt games, but i would tell the bulls to pick it up a little as far as pace is concerned.

Huge fan of Gortat but he's a dud in this series. I'm not saying he should be benched, but he shouldn't be guaranteed his minutes either. The Hawks are basically running two stretch 4's out there most of the time and he simply can't stay with them. Providing zero on the offensive end against them isn't helping things either. And the icing on it all is that he just doesn't get that you can't take two hands and throw people out of the way to catch passes or rebounds. He absolutely should be benched more, if only to get him to wake up.

But even ignoring all of that, Humphries would be better at guarding the Hawks bigs when they drive, and handle the pick and role better than Gortat could even dream of. I'm thinking he's still hurt and will only play in an emergency situation, because there really is no other excuse for getting ZERO minutes.

Aaron Brooks has been terrible this postseason. Actually terrible is too kind for it. He's been atrocious. Outside of game 1 of the Bucks series he's been a complete waste of space out there. I would kill for DJ Augustin or Nate Robinson right now. Hell I'd be good with CJ Watson or John Lucas III out there again. Brooks has gone ghost man.
