This is true. Laker fans want everybody. If BD comes to LA, they're really doomed for the next decade with a small lineup in the west and no chance at a big man. Who they gonna give up for his contract LO? The you are stuck with 3 max deals, a small lineup, capped out, no big men, and locked up for 10 years.

In all honesty, I think this kind of thing is the reason there is going to be another lockout coming.

BD signed that deal because his grandmother told him to. He should have left when he had a chance. He shouldnt be able to demand anything at all.
Does anyone know if he has a players option to opt out of his contract?

^^^ Sums up this entire sitution. This is close to the same post I was going to make when I first read about it. way too much greed and not enough heart and loyalty in sports, be happy with what you have. They said he wasn't happy not getting out to of the first round yet he names another team he wants to go to in the knicks who also didnt make it out of the first round. This is why I respect Reggie Miller so much, I understand he is still on a championship contender, but unless its Indiana who cuts him, you know he doesn't want to play anywhere else.

My first reaction from this situation is that he is only asking to be traded because the Hornets have moved to the Western Conference where they will be lucky to even make the playoffs since the west is so stacked.

Nope. He's locked up through 2009.

Nice to see everyone wants to come to the Knicks but, I'd rather have Marbury then him.

He should fire his agent. No way should we know about this, huge PR blunder. He just signed his deal and he demands a trade? His agent should have handled this without us knowing, now he kills any goodwill that he might have built up. And for a fledgling team trying to entrench itself in a new city, this is a disaster.

This is garbage, NY with Marbury AND Davis has no shot of making the finals. He's obviously just scared people will find out he's a punk in the West.

Im not a too easy fan, but I dont think you all should be coming down so hard on him for this.....I mean, hes wrong, and its a stupid and careless thing to do, but dont forget about how he carry NO on his wreck of a back in the PO for two years in a row......He has no right asking for trade to a championship quality team at his age or in his contract position....my guess is he'll change his mind when he sees how the mashburn situation pans out........
